Job Description Join CCB's newest Service - Platform Operations . Our team fosters a model for CCB technology, product, design, & data teams to work with organizations outside CCB. Our structure compliments the GT Product Operating model - ensuring bi-directional alignment of interests between the GT and CCB products. To ensure CCB is represented on GT Product Cabinets, Platform Operations facilitates communities of expertise to garner insight and opinion from across our entire LoB to shape GT Product roadmaps. Conversely, Platform Operations, through the Clearinghouse, examines requests for work and facilitates their injection into our CCB product backlogs. To amplify success our team provides visibility into status of execution for all requests - both by and on-behalf of CCB products.
The role of the Area Product Owner is to operate and continuously improve the CCB Clearinghouse product.
This leader will 'run the factory' for our Service - accountable for oversight, delivery, and automation of the systems and processes required to move non-feature work into product backlogs. Role will partner with Agility Office to ensure all work delivered by our CCB Engineers is represented consistently and with high quality - integrating with our GT Product partners as well as other systems such as Service Now and FARM. Successful candidate will also determine type and level of cross-product program management required to delivered. Finally, this role will oversee the build-out BI capabilities to provide visibility into progress toward delivery.
This position is to operate and continuously improve the service the Clearinghouse provides.
Operating the Clearinghouse entails leading a team that will -

  • Partner with experts from each Global Tech (GT) Product across the firm to understand, substantiate, and requests for work in a form that is actionable for the CCB technology community to deliver
  • Collaborate with CCB SMEs (including the CCB representatives on the GT Product CABs) to ensure agreement on the technical solution as well as timeline commitments
  • Publish real-time dashboards that will be leveraged by the over 100 different products in CCB
  • Provide leadership to transform the entire CCB organization away from a mindset of relying on Project Managers to manage dates and RAG ratings to a model of providing Product Owners self-service transparency into progress - freeing Project Managers to tackle the work necessary to overcome blockers
  • Provide process expertise and support for new engagers to the Clearinghouse and its processes. Enforce processes and expectations amongst GT community to leverage Clearinghouse.


Continuous improvement will entail -

  • Facilitate working sessions amongst the Clearinghouse customers to identify process and reporting improvements; managing a prioritized backlog of enhancements
  • Ensure alignment of the Clearinghouse processes with JPMC central agility standards; including JIRA Align
  • Partner with key technology and product leads to drive consistent Clearinghouse practices, setting logical key performance measures and reporting
  • Partner with the Clearinghouse functions in each JPMC LoBs as well as GT Product Cabinets to ensure awareness and enforce engagement of the Clearinghouse
  • Partner with GT Product Office and CCB Product Office to share best practices and align with product-oriented processes
  • Continuously improve Clearinghouse processes with the ultimate goal of automating the integration across roadmaps - from both GT and CCB
  • Provide thought-leadership as a participant on the Backlog Visibility program which will provide the mechanics and guidance for how all the work performed by engineers will be represented on backlogs

  • Modern program management skills that compliment a product-oriented organization model
  • Knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Keen attention to detail


Qualifications

  • Understanding of GT and LoB project and program management standards and methods
  • 10-15 years of related project management experience - financial services, business, project management, team leadership and/or technology experience
  • Understand Agile and how to leverage the benefits across both Investment and Technology-based initiatives
  • Experience building and working with high-performing teams in complex program execution, with a focus on process improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong working relationships with peers as well as internal/external clients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability speaking/ presenting to various levels of management in both business and technology
  • Current experience with JIRA and Kanban
  • Strong understanding of Waterfall and Agile methods; stakeholder management and risk management
  • Extensive Product and/or Operations experience
  • Extensive Technology Program Management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change across organizations
  • Demonstrates flexibility, adapts to shifting priorities, embraces ambiguity and navigates through change positively while helping to remove challenges/blockers
  • Ability to make subjective and informed decisions based upon known data, consequently influencing stakeholders and justifying decisions made to drive work and teams forward
  • Strong staff management skills for exempt level professionals with ability to promote and maintain an inclusive, positive culture
  • Ability to think strategically while also being hands-on to progress initiatives as needed
  • Ability to prioritize projects and efforts according to business need and industry trends
  • Experience with agile product development techniques and practices for speed-to-market
