This Technical Product Manager will lead our product strategy for payment technologies to ensure a best-in-class payment experience for our card holders. The ideal candidate will have proven experience with payment technologies such as EMV, NFC, payment terminals, encryption, and payment network integration.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with our internal and external partners to bring our payment technology vision to life in a fast-paced environment
  • Identify and outline key functionality required across workstreams for a successful implementation of EMV, NFC, and other payment technologies
  • Be the subject matter expert for Solutran payment technologies
  • Guide the development process by working with the product and development teams on defining and prioritizing requirements to meet the critical path timelines
  • Develop a product vision and roadmap including introduction of new functionality that drives a best-in-class payment experience
  • Meet with stakeholders and participate in strategy discussions for product roadmap. Instill processes to keeping living roadmap highly visible and accessible to all stakeholders so direction can be adjusted as needed
  • Organize, manage, and lead cross-functional product prioritization teams
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while also meeting required deadlines
  • Track and manage issues, risks, assumptions, action items, and decisions through to resolution
  • Work with minimal direction on complex, technical initiatives
  • Take mentorship role with junior team members to support their growth and expanding skillset to help create a solid team
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years as a product owner, including experience in defining, owning, and managing product design and roadmap
  • Proven technical experience with Payment Card Chip EMV technology, Near Field Communications (NFC), payment terminals, or payment networks
  • Proven solid communication skills - experience managing relationships with clients and third parties
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, research, and evaluate new ideas objectively from a market and financial standpoint and translate ideas into expected business impact
  • Demonstrated ability to grasp technical processes quickly
  • Proven ability to strategize, plan, and execute a product through its lifecycle
  • Demonstrated ability to envision and execute product adaptations and product extensions to take advantage of market opportunities

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a closely related field, or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency and experience developing and optimizing Structured Query Language (SQL) to analyze and query data
  • Experience in Fintech, healthcare, health insurance or any one or combination thereof
  • Experience using quantitative and qualitative data to assess priorities and influence roadmaps
  • Experience using data analysis tools (e.g., A|B test software, Tableau) and/or scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python) to inform product decisions
  • Skilled and experienced using Agile/Scrum or similar methodologies, Jira, writing user stories, and managing backlog
  • Experience in technical stack, platform architecture, and software integration design, and APIs
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously; strategic thinking with ability to build solid working relationships across organizational teams in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching products in an Agile environment
  • Proficient in designing and documenting user flows and workflows to support application development
  • Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate with non-technical and technical people inside and outside the organization
  • Proven exceptional product roadmap creation & execution skills
  • Proven technical skills to translate business requirements into terms that developers can understand
  • Proven excellent communication skills; written, verbal and formal presentation
  • Proven excellent Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proven detail oriented with critical thinking skills - ability to break down initiative-level requirements into feature and story attribute level details
