Director, Product Research

The Director of Product Research will be a proven leader in the research and data science spheres responsible for hiring and developing a team of strong researchers that will work across the product analytics teams. Their work will inform growth and product teams by providing meta analyses of experiments and research originating from the product and growth analytics teams. This team will also be responsible for communication and dissemination of key learnings and will represent the voice of the GP customer inside the product organization.
Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leadership across Product, Marketing, and GMS to deliver data-driven insights and recommendations
- Establish and implement cross-functional research programs and operations models with the explicit goal of informing leadership decisions
- Conduct deep research and interpret key topics (e.g. drivers of purchase decisions, basket analysis, long term experiments) to define, measure, and increase user value
- Compile and reconcile data from Growth, Loyalty, and Shopping teams to develop, implement, and own conversion funnel (visits to orders)
- Oversee a team of highly skilled technical researches and provide general thought leadership for Product Org (e.g., host and run sharing and learning sessions for PMs)
Qualifications
- 10+ years of working in quantitative research
- PhD in a quantitative discipline preferred
- 5+ years of managing and developing early to mid-career technical researchers
