Director of Product Management

SmartBear is looking for a Director of product management to accelerate growth in leading cloud marketplaces, first focusing on Atlassian/AWS/Azure and beyond.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing, communicating, and executing on the marketplace strategy for products and new product innovations. While driving these new products into existing and new marketplaces, you will have a chance to support the product teams to grow and learn more about new and exciting channels. As director of product management, you will have a chance to both create new product, innovate in the marketplace, as well as work with and alongside a talented and passionate cross-functional team.
Successful candidates will be strategic thinkers and planners, , hands-on approach to understanding the customer journey and marketplace discoverability, tech-savvy, analytical and outcomes driven, and enjoys a very collaborative work environment. The role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work together with different functions and products in the company.
Responsibilities include:
- Define the ideal sequencing of SmartBear products by marketplace.
- Have excellent technical skills to support the development and iteration of product roadmap for existing products as well as innovations. Using this technical skill, create a path to MVP that focuses on delivering value to the customer and revenue to the business. Collaborate with other product leaders to define, maintain, and communicate a roadmap enabling successful listing.
- Manage the partnership with the leading marketplace leaders to ensure alignment on technology and product
- Create, maintain a product playbook by marketplaces including key product requirements, target architecture and pricing model
- Identify new revenue and new product opportunities in the marketplace ecosystem.
The Director of product management must work closely with product management, engineering, sales, marketing, and support teams to ensure successful product listing and customer satisfaction. Success will be measured on the incremental growth in the marketplaces, including increased revenue and market share.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated background in Product Management in B2B software
- Proven ability to communicate effectively in written, verbal and formal presentations to executives.
- BS degree (MS preferred)
Nice to have:
- Background successfully defining product strategy, packaging and pricing in one of the leading marketplaces (AWS, Atlassian, Azure)
