Director, Product Management – User & Profiles
Job Summary:The rapidly growing Consumer Identity team is seeking an experienced and passionate product leader. The User & Profiles team is responsible for creating user value through profiles, privacy, preferences, parental controls, and other core user features that power Disney+, Hulu, Star+ and other Disney consumer products.
You will be responsible for painting the long-term User & Profile vision for Disney customers, while also driving tactical needs and projects that move our experiences forward, unlocking business value. You are seen as a thought leader that the team and cross-functional partners seek for guidance, delivering a global user experience that creates the new benchmark in the industry that others will look to emulate.
You will inform the direction and represent the global Disney user. You are tenacious in driving a vision that delights and unlocks the hidden values and increases business metrics. You lead by being authentic, looking at data to find truths, setting clear priorities, encouraging accountability, and have collaborative skills that engage across the organization bringing stakeholders together.
Responsibilities:
- Define product strategy for a global user and profile model that stretches across all Disney experiences
- Empower seamless commercial transactions and personalized experiences, driving both lifetime value and retention
- Ensure Disney services provide a safe and secure experiences for users, and in particular, empower parents and provide protection for our youngest consumers
- Collaborate with Globalization partners to support over 100 million streaming consumers through localization, and by adhering to local regulatory requirements
- Create the Northstar while factoring in user experiences, opportunities, pain
- Translate long term goals into short term tactical features
- Capture all stakeholders needs, fears, and directions from across the organization and distill them into an objective-oriented roadmap
- Drive the user and market research to evaluate best practice and identify new opportunities
- Build a global team of user product specialists, that others envy and lead them to success
- Define the team and organizational data requirements that help inform the direction and set the standard by which we will measure success

Basic Qualifications:Candidate Profile:
- High leadership EQ
- Strategic user-focused outlook
- Has set complex data and user focus strategies before
- Delivered successful complex user profile projects live in the market today
- Data and detail-oriented, but can translate into measurements and KPI’s
- In tune with working in a matrix environment and has proven success
Key Experience:
- Product Management experience at Director level in consumer-based organization
- Previous experience in personalization and user profiles
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with multiple stakeholders
- Previous leadership experience in product development
- Proven delivery of customer-first, user-focused products in the market
- Seen as an industry thought leader in user experience and profile products
Preferred Education
- College degree preferred, or equivalent related work experience
