Job Description:

The Director, Product Management role is a strategic position responsible for developing and driving the strategy and roadmap for Datasite's SaaS platform. Demonstrated team leadership, innovative problem solving and a passion for working with stakeholders internal and external to the company are core to this role. This role will lead a team of product managers who oversee Datasite's SaaS platform components and execute the associated roadmaps. The role is suited for someone with high energy, intellectual curiosity, and the ability thrive in a fun fast paced environment.

Ideal location is Minneapolis, MN but we are open to remote within US or Canada.

The Product Management team is responsible for creating valuable, profitable products. As Director, Product Managementyou will be responsible for:

  • Developing a vision for the Datasite platform that supports our goal to give deal makers tools to succeed across the entire deal lifecycle
  • Move the needle on the top company focus area of the platform initiatives
  • Establish shared vision across the company by building alignment across product teams, cross-functional partners and company leadership on priorities leading to platform execution
  • Work closely with engineering and UX leaders to build and maintain our component library
  • Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of our products
  • Grow and support a talented team of Product Managers; responsible for the team's performance and eliminating obstacles that may prevent Product Managers from executing on their roadmap and shipping new products and features
  • Engage with stakeholders to establish product roadmap, OKRs, success metrics for the platform
  • Increase the value of existing, established products through product optimization and product market fit based on feedback from multiple stakeholders, and utilization data collected through multiple channels
  • Identify new product opportunities for existing customers and markets through customer engagement, industry research, ideation sessions
  • While being the 'Product Evangelist' continuous critical thinking and input from customers and stakeholders to broaden adoption, increase revenue, make the product irreplaceable for our customers
  • Influence strategic direction through combination of subject matter expertise and data
  • Define the minimum viable product (MVP) or features and associated KPIs
  • Lead initiative to integrate the platform to internal business systems including Salesforce, Workday and Mulesoft



Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years experience within Product Management
  • 5+ years experience leading high performing product teams
  • High analytical and technical acumen along with strong business sense that guides ROI based prioritization
  • Enjoy working on deeply technical products with significant scale expectations and a passionate engineering team
  • Experience in leading products with a diverse set of stakeholders and customers, ideally including our client service, billing and IT teams
  • Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively to resolve difficult situations with a proven record of follow-through on assigned tasks
  • Strong cross-functional relationship building with high empathy to understand the needs of other businesses and priorities
  • Ability to clearly communicate with different audiences
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, subject to rapid change and innovation
  • Product management methodology training
  • Skilled in Agile development, tools such as the Atlassian stack, design sprints
  • Skilled in planning and leading customer discovery
