Siemens Parcel Logistics is looking for an experienced and talented Director of Product Lifecyle Management (PLM). You will manage and lead PLM professionals while providing strategic leadership to develop and maintain a Product Portfolio to support the next generation of systems in the parcel delivery business for companies such as UPS, FedEx, Amazon, and the US Post Office. Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Primary responsibility is management of the PLM function for the Parcel business unit, ensuring that direct reports are trained and prepared to manage their individual product responsibilities. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to :• Oversight of PLM related spending and results vs budget, ensuring Product related R&D activities are performed to deliver the needed scope according to schedule• Coordination with key stakeholders including Sales to drive ideation activities for input into R&D and PLM planning• Work closely with external and internal stakeholders as well as R&D / Engineering teams to drive R&D efforts from concepting through production and implementation• Close interaction with Global PLM and R&D teams to ensure local PLM activities are properly aligned and allocated between Global and Local resources• Develop and drive local R&D Budget development and manage throughout the year• Drive own R&D / Concepting efforts as appropriate to support business efforts• Maintain currency with industry best practices for PLM• Support Innovation / IP activities to ensure IP resulting from Product Development and R&D activities are protected and/or do not generate IP risk for the organization• Support company efforts by developing and submitting relevant documentation for R&D Tax Credits

Knowledge and Experience• Strong knowledge of the PLM process, from ideation and development to production, promotion, and beyond to include product retirement and end of life management• Familiarity and knowledge of industrial products that integrate mechanical, electrical, and software / controls elements - Ideal candidate will have this experience with automated equipment• Experience working in cross functional organizations, ideally in international companies• Experienced in reviews of complex customers' standards and/or specifications and other documentation to determine product development requirements• Core Competencies that are critical to role: Business Acumen, Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving, Collaboration, Communication Effectiveness, Decision Making, Influencing and Leading, and Responsibility & Accountability• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required;• 8-10 years of successful experience in Product Lifecyle Management (PLM), with at least 5 years leading direct reports in this function• Must possess organizational agility/ability to get things done in a matrix organization• Must possess good technical ability, and understand highly complex technical issues• Known for effective leadership of staff. Passion for client satisfaction• Proven track record of leading "Change" initiatives impacting an entire organization• Good written and oral communication with the ability to motivate others to perform well• Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary Engineering team• Travel Requirements: Up to 25% for customer meetings and integration testing at customer sites
