Job description:

As the Product Compliance Director at William Hill, you will be a key part of William Hill’s expansion in the burgeoning North American Sports Betting industry. The primary purpose of this role is to maintain and strengthen regulatory relationships and provide guidance on the product design, operations and the submission/approval process for William Hill.  This will cover various Sports Betting and related technology solutions across State and Tribal gaming jurisdictions while ensuring adherence and compliance with all relevant technical requirements and regulations.  In order to successfully lead these efforts, you’ll act as a subject matter expert for the regulatory bodies and independent test labs ensuring smooth transition into new markets and compliant operations. You will work alongside the Product Development Team and Business Operations to maintain a culture of compliance and position William Hill as a leading example for the regulatory bodies. 

What You Will Do:

  • Work with the Head of Product Compliance and Product Development Team to educate William Hill on the State, Tribal and independent test lab requirements
  • Assist the Head of Product Compliance in managing William Hill’s relationship with each regulatory body and independent test lab
  • Build and maintain an internal database of all technical regulations across North America and become an internal SME on all of its contents
  • Support the Head of Product Compliance in interpreting regulatory technical requirements and providing comments to new regulations to ensure the regulatory bodies implement regulation that adhere to the latest industry standards
  • Assist the Head of Product Compliance in mentoring the Product Compliance Managers and Engineers in further understanding the North American Sports Wagering and iGaming sector
  • Manage technical submission process through completion
  • Manage documentation required to support all regulatory submissions
  • Maintain process to ensure only approved software versions are deployed into each regulated market
  • Work with Product Development and QA Team to ensure software solutions conform to regulatory requirements
  • Assist with reporting and maintaining regulatory relations for William Hill
  • Evaluate testing procedures to meet regulatory specifications where applicable
  • Consult with the Legal Department, as necessary, to understand regulatory requirements
  • Stay informed regarding pending industry changes, trends, and best practices and assess the potential impact of these changes

What You Will Need:

  • 5+ years experience in Gaming Technical / Product Compliance
  • Engagement with State, Tribal and Independent Test Lab (GLI and BMM) regulatory personnel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Building relationships within all levels and disciplines both internal and external to the organization

Would Suit Someone Who:

  • 3+ years experience in the iGaming sector (Casino and/or Sports Wagering)
  • Can establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Is an individual suited to explain technically complex products and procedures for a broad audience.
  • Is a problem solver and can think on their feet.
  • Is detail oriented
  • Is able to work in a dynamic fast-paced industry and organization.
