About the team

The team develops and deploys FIS Digital One to large financial institution clients. Digital One is an omnichannel platform that enables digital transformation across all banking engagement points.  

Digital One provides an open standards and core-independent solution that spans both self-service and assisted channels and enhances the experience for both the customer and banker. Supports consumer online and mobile, business, banker sales & servicing, teller, account origination and kiosk.

What you will be doing

The Director Development will lead the Technology Delivery Management team within the Digital One Engineering organization. The leader will be responsible for leading and managing Digital One delivery for a diverse set of large financial institution clients, and accountable for all aspects of end to end delivery management. The leader will collaborate across different functions including Implementation, Product Management, Development, Infrastructure & Operations, Client Relations etc., to make sure all activities are aligned and executing to deliver on the program on schedule, on cost, high quality and to client expectations.

  • Deliver Digital One client commitments on time, on budget and with high quality

  • Create and maintain strong internal and external partnerships to drive Digital One development and delivery towards a streamlined and predictable system

  • Monitor and improve development and delivery execution as well as overall quality

  • Identify and recommend opportunities for improving SDLC and delivery processes and capabilities. Create end to end traceability and accelerate automation as applicable

  • Forecasts resource needs based on an analysis of both portfolio and projected client spend

  • Maximizes both utilization and profitability of assigned team of resources’ billable time

  • Lead and mentor the team. Select, develop and evaluates personnel ensuring efficient operation of function

What you bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in a fast-paced client delivery environment. Minimum of 5 years of hands on software development and a minimum of 5 years leading product delivery teams

  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity and complexities with exceptional analytical, project management, decision making and problem-solving skills

  • Passion for continuous improvement and expertise in agile and scrum methodologies

  • Skill in leading, supervising and managing effectively under pressure

  • Ability to be comfortable interacting with executive level clients

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, activities and problem areas

  • Ability to balance strategic and tactical issues in a dynamic growth environment

  • Willingness to travel at least 20%

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. Post-graduate education preferred

Added bonus if you have:

  • Banking industry and banking technology solutions or financial services solutions experience is highly desired

  • Significant knowledge of software engineering and associated practices as well as software architecture is highly desired. Additional knowledge of network architecture preferred

  • Experience with JIRA, Rally, Selenium, Xray, TestRail, LoadRunner, Postman, SoapUI, Dynatrace, Ansible, Maven, Jenkins, SAST/DAST tools and LCD development preferred
