Responsibilities:
The Dir, Core Systems and Platforms Operations and Project Performance is a key role within the organization, responsible for supporting the delivery of technology-enabled solutions that drive industry-leading capability at TWDC. The role will lead the technology teams responsible for managing the holistic portfolio of the core systems and platform team and will partner with the technology leaders to ensure execution of the portfolio exceeds expectations as measured against key organizational KPIs.
This Dir will collaborate with senior enterprise technology, business and senior segment technology leaders to ensure program and project execution is on track and being measured appropriately. This key leadership role will engage hands to ensure all program and project controls are in place and that the core systems and platforms team are delivering the portfolio of projects as expected. Presenting clear analyses of the portfolio on a monthly basis for the leadership team to make critical decisions in regard to successful execution.
The Dir, Core Systems and Platforms Operations and Project will be responsible for:

  • Portfolio Financial Management
  • Portfolio Project/Program Management
  • Process Improvement
  • Supporting the SVP in delivering against identified KPIs and setting improvement goals for the organization


Basic Qualifications :

  • 10+ years in Technology and Technology Project/Program Management
  • Experience in a Fortune 500 company managing complex project financials and large integrated programs
  • The candidate must have proven experience with working in a matrixed environment and managing multiple stakeholders
  • Skilled in distilling insights from data and synthesizing and crafting compelling presentations for executive audiences, both financial and non-financial
  • Able to maintain both a rigorous attention to detail and a big-picture, strategic mindset
  • Proactive and creative in approaching problems and presenting project and program data including financials
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge, including macros, modeling and specialized functions
  • Capital and Operating Expense budgeting and forecasting experience highly desired
  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts, solve problems, and implement solutions
  • Embraces teamwork; shares ideas / methods to improve performance
  • 5+ years using SAP
  • 2+ years using Adaptive Planning
  • 2+ years of experience using CA Clarity or other project portfolio management tools
  • Highly skilled with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Passionate about maximizing project performance
  • Skilled in distilling insights from data and synthesizing and crafting compelling presentations for executive audiences, both financial and non-financial
  • Drives best practices and application of cost diagnostics
  • Engages in collaborative accumulation and prioritization
  • Excellent analytical, diagnostic, and problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong commitment to program success metrics
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Self-motivated
  • Work effectively in a team environment, and with remote teams


Required Education:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, or other analytical field, similar or equivalent work experience with an emphasis on large integrated programs
  • Experience in a Fortune 500 company in technology leading large complex portfolios preferred.


Preferred Education:

  • MS in Computer Science or other advanced degree in a related discipline
