The Opportunity

The Digital Product Analyst for Digital Payments will support the development and faster, safer, more efficient money movement for Ally customers. Under direction from the Senior Director of Digital Payments, the Digital Product Analyst will be accountable for looking both internally and externally to understand customer and business needs and opportunities that can be addressed through digital payments solutions. The Digital Product Analyst will identify a variety appropriate data sources (business metrics, customer feedback, usability testing, competitive analysis, etc.), to analyze and draw insights that will drive payments strategy. In addition, the DPA will help assess the business opportunity of various initiatives to help the broader payments team gain executive support and prioritization for payments work. The DPA will also work closely with the Product Owners for the Payments agile squads to support various PO responsibilities, including requirements development and critical tasks related to managing important Third-Party Suppliers. This individual will be expected to develop into a subject matter expert for money movement products offered by the Ally Bank and Ally Invest lines of business. This role will be an entry point for development into full Product Owner responsibilities.

The Work Itself
• Analyze complex business problems and propose solutions
• Analyze Voice of Customer data for related to money movement and identifying trends and action plans
• Assist with day-to-day duties to support Ally's relationships with critical suppliers
• Identify/document Use Cases and initial requirements for user experience (UI Specs)
• Work with UX teams to review and provide input to user experience designs (Wireframes, Prototypes, comps, copy, etc.)
• When needed, create requirements documentation, use cases, user flows, etc to enable development of a cohesive, functioning product.
• Provide project management support for critical, strategic money movement projects, coordinating work across multiple work streams and lines of business
• Voice of business to development team for requirement clarifications
• Expert user of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and project planning tools.

The Skills You Bring

  • Strong business analysis and project management skills
  • 1+ years of experience in creating Business Requirements, Use Cases, Stories and Process Flows
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Flexible and comfortable in a fast-changing environment
  • Highly articulate and able to communicate and influence with confidence and credibility at all levels, delivery to suit audience & adjust behavior to suit the political environment.
  • Ability to take complex concepts, designs or solutions, distill them into critical points and explain them in a simple, organized fashion
  • Effective at managing many tasks and stakeholders, setting priorities, creating schedules, managing expectations, and delivering on schedule.
  • Knowledge of technology project lifecycle and Agile development framework
  • Experience with JIRA preferred
  • Experience with Payments, Online Banking, and Mobile applications preferred
