Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Lead Product Manager to join our dynamic and innovative team responsible for the development and management of our database infrastructure platform and services. As the Lead Product Manager, you will partner with a talented team of engineers & developers to define product vision, strategy and deliver experiences that drive business outcomes.
What are the responsibilities?
Product Vision: Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
Roadmap Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize product features and enhancements based on customer needs, market trends, and competitive analysis.
Product Development: Work closely with engineering teams to translate product requirements into well-defined user stories, specifications, and technical tasks. Drive the agile development process, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality releases.
Market Research: Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and customer feedback to continuously improve data service offerings, and identify opportunities for innovation and cost optimization.
Customer Focus: Proactive communication and marketing of domain products with stakeholders to ensure product strategy and vision is clear and accepted by the organization.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches, effective go-to-market strategies, and optimal customer adoption.
Metrics and Analytics: Define and track key product metrics to measure the success and effectiveness of data services offered to the enterprise. Utilize data-driven insights to make informed product decisions and drive improvements.
Resolution: Identify and resolve issues that may impair the ability to meet strategic, financial, and/or technical goals.
Qualifications:
Experience: At least 6 years demonstrated ability in product management. Previous experience in infrastructure/platform product management is highly desirable.
Technical Background: Solid understanding of database technologies, infrastructure platforms, and cloud-based environments.
Strategic Thinker: Proven ability to think strategically, analyze market trends, and translate customer needs into innovative product features and enhancements.
Customer-Centric Approach: Demonstrated passion for understanding customer pain points and delivering exceptional user experiences. Experience gathering customer feedback and incorporating it into product decisions.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Analytical Mindset: Proficient in data analysis and utilization of metrics to drive product decisions. Comfortable working with complex technical concepts and translating them into actionable insights.

Compensation Range:
Pay Range - Start:
$107,730.00
Pay Range - End:
$200,070.00
Northwestern Mutual pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement in the salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment. At Northwestern Mutual, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
