Data Lake Area Product Owner - Cloud - VP
Job Description This role within the CCB Data Lake Product Team will be an Area Product Owner with responsibilities to support our adoption of the public cloud. Adopting public cloud is the number one priority for the Data Lake and is a top priority for JPMorgan overall. In this role, you will be directly accountable for managing up to three dedicated scrum teams with the express focus on building out capabilities on the public cloud. This role requires partnering with business and technology stakeholders to understand customer needs, define the product roadmap, and refine product capabilities. In addition, it requires working directly with the technology delivery team using an agile scrum methodology to develop and deliver the roadmap including rollout to users.
The core responsibilities of this position include:
- Identification of unmet needs for data lake interfacing personas
- Roadmap definition (tactical and strategic)
- Partnering with business stakeholders and technology to refine the roadmap and capability requirements
- Working with technology to ensure the developed product meets the user's needs
- Partnering with the user community and their leadership to roll out capabilities and drive adoption
To qualify for this role, we require 4+ years direct experience in the following areas and skill sets:
- Amazon Web Services public cloud
- Product development in an agile setting
- Ability to understand and document processes across products and functional areas
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Cross product, market, and technology relationship-building skills
- Ability to bridge communication with business, controls, and technology
- Strong negotiation, conflict-resolution, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and interact with all management levels
- Working knowledge of Excel, Power Point, and Jira and Confluence
- Technical awareness of common RDBMS systems; (e.g. Teradata, Oracle), Hadoop-related technologies, other cloud technologies, ETL technologies, and data governance technologies is preferred
- Bachelor's degree
