Department OverviewThe Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team (CIE) is Motorola Solutions' organization of cloud subject matter experts specializing in the deployment, management, operations, compliance and security of our cloud-based solutions. CIE delivers expertise in cloud engineering and follows best-practices for developing, architecting and managing cloud-based environments and solutions. CIE manages cloud solutions at scale, with efficiencies delivered through common services, industry expertise, and centralized cost management and monitoring. In addition, CIE facilitates partnerships with cloud vendors and other technology partners, and streamlines our interactions with their infrastructure and services. As Motorola Solutions centralizes functions with CIE, we accelerate cloud development and deployments and optimize cloud operations, management & cost through scale and specialization with cloud-native services and processes.
Job Description
We are open to candidates working remotely, or out of one of our major offices including but not limited to Chicago, IL, Schaumburg, IL, Salt Lake City, UT, and Seattle, WA.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorships are not available for this position.
The Cloud Infrastructure Engineering (CIE) team at Motorola Solutions is looking for a Compliance Product Manager who can support the strategy and roadmap for meeting cybersecurity compliance standards such as FedRAMP, SOC 2, CJIS, ISO 27001, etc. Work with software development teams to build safe and secure public safety and communications SaaS products which modernize and scale in the cloud to meet local, state, federal, and international compliance standards.
This role will be required to understand and stay up to date on the various cybersecurity standards applicable to the Motorola Solutions products and environments. They will help collect evidence for internal assessments, external audits, and customer security questionnaires. This person will also need to obtain a detailed understanding of the business, products, processes, and leadership’s vision to contribute to the strategy and roadmap for the CIE Compliance Team. They will be working with internal and external partners including vendors, engineering teams, and various other stakeholders to prioritize deliverables and deliver results.
This role requires the combined depth of knowledge of a Compliance Manager and the strong organizational skills of a Program Manager. This means being able to strategize and create plans to deliver against compliance standards, driving execution, measure progress, and be able to effectively communicate updates and status to upper management. Knowledge and experience in helping technology teams deliver compliant cloud applications is highly desirable as well as a keen sense of where the broader business is going to stay ahead of the curve.
Job Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain scalable compliance operations with a well-documented roadmap, goals and objectives
Understand customer, partner, and regulatory requirements
Work closely with internal and external partners to understand what we need to build and prioritize based on business needs
Manage external cloud and software vendor relationships to align priorities and jointly plan roadmaps
Present documentation, metrics, and dashboards to leadership to showcase the value proposition and progress against our goals
Develop and manage metrics to drive continuous improvement to compliance operating models
Become a trusted partner by cross-functionally influencing leadership, engineering, product, and business teams
Build a deep understanding of how stakeholder teams work, their needs and how compliance can be operationalized into their processes
Advise stakeholders on detailed compliance requirements and remediation efforts
Provide training and assistance to stakeholders for use of compliance evidence gathering tools
Work with remote teams and across time zones
Quickly gain trust, negotiate business objectives, have constructive debate, and work directly with a broad group of personnel
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
5+ years of IT/cybersecurity compliance or audit experience, or related field
Bachelor's Degree (cybersecurity, audit, or related degree preferred)
Knowledge and exposure to cybersecurity standards, laws or policies, such as FedRAMP, NIST 800-53 r5, ISO 27001, SOC 2, CJIS, GDPR, etc.
Understanding of SaaS development and DevOps concepts
Interpersonal communication skills with the ability to drive initiatives at multiple levels
Experience writing formal, informal, and technical documents
At least one audit or security certification such as CISA, CISM, or CISSP preferred
Experience and technical knowledge of IaaS (Azure or AWS), networking, Kubernetes, and related cloud technologies preferred
Basic technical skills including an understanding of APIs and data analytics preferred
This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.
