Job Description

ISO, a Verisk business, is looking to advance a high-powered product suite into the future. This product suite is focused on the P&C insurance market with a heavy focus on ISO’s core insurance products, data analytics driven through large-scale data assets, and associated internal and external facing technology infrastructure. We are embarking on a multi-year journey to modernize the product suite, architecture, and associated technology/infrastructure.

This individual will serve as a critical team member responsible for gathering and documenting critical current state information and improvement opportunities. The successful candidate will share their knowledge of P&C carrier processes and collaborate with the team leader to craft future state recommendations and produce strategic materials that will be used to build consensus across the organization. This role will provide the selected individual with the opportunity to advance their industry knowledge, problem solving and collaboration skills as well as present a unique opportunity to bring disruptive thinking and a fresh perspective to established, highly successful products.

Qualifications

Prior Experience Required:

  • 1-2 years of P&C insurance carrier experience in Product Management, Product Development, Underwriting or Actuarial Pricing preferred 
  • Knowledge of ISO core lines products (rate, rules, forms)
  • Management consulting in the insurance industry or internal insurance carrier strategy experience preferred but not required 
  • Experience performing current state analysis and formulating strategic action plans based on results and future state goals

  • Passionate about solving challenges and building fresh and disruptive products/services 
  • Strong quantitative and written skills 
  • Collaboration – possess the ability to share knowledge and take in new knowledge/information 
  • Appreciation for nuance of customer/ user experience; ability to think through how to utilize feedback and other data 
  • Serves as an advocate for the customer and pursues products/services that promote ease of doing business and delivery of information that enables improved decision making
