THE TEAM

The Marketplace Product team at Ticketmaster drives the consumer experience for the online and mobile face of the business and the technology behind it - which enables fans to discover and buy the music, sports or arts and theatre tickets they just can't miss out on.

THE ROLE

Ticketmaster is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Product Manager to join our team on the Account Manager platform. This product spans across our entire company and is focused on fan identity, mobile entry, and creating the best possible experience for fans from ticket purchase all the way through event attendance. You will be part of a high-energy, data-driven, collaborative, fast-paced team where you will contribute ideas to help solve unique client use cases while continuing to grow the product.

As an Associate Product Manager, you will help deliver features for both our Ticketmaster clients and their fans. You should possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the determination to make that vision a reality. You should enjoy spending time engaging with clients, business stakeholders, and internal support staff to understand different use cases and find innovative solutions to deliver on our online platforms.

You should be able to communicate with all areas of the company. You will work closely with design and engineering to define product requirements; with operational and support teams to achieve compliance, efficiencies, and remove pain points; with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customers. You will also serve as the internal and external subject matter expert for the product and associated features.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a critical part of a product life cycle: influencing product strategy and direction, defining and prioritizing product requirements, features and functionality; owning product roadmaps; recommending strategic product direction with your manager.
  • Help shape the roadmap for your products including consumer facing features, backend tooling for clients, and API services in collaboration with business and technology stakeholders.
  • Formulate a clear and coherent business case, competitive analysis, and product marketing documentation.
  • Specify market requirements for current and future product features by conducting market research and analyzing site and feature performance.
  • Define product specifications using clear and consistent user stories with any acceptance criteria or supporting documentation supplied.
  • Work closely with UI/UX teams to create and iterate on design prototypes and validate them with users.
  • Work with creative and engineering teams during the development cycle to ensure the product meets customer requirements.
  • Drive through delivery of a feature from conception to launch; develop and implement go-to-market plans and work with all departments to execute.
  • Produce up-to-date and accurate feature documentation, both within the release cycle as well as in an ad-hoc capacity.
  • Analyze and report on the performance of features in production, reflecting on successes and identifying areas for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure backlog is prioritized while taking technical and business dependencies into consideration.
Groom user stories with developers and QA to ensure requirements are clear and the team is ready to execute.
  • Demo stories to stakeholders to gather and synthesize feedback.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years product management or related experience in technology-focused business.
  • Bachelor's degree or work equivalent.
  • Proven experience in the development and maintenance of eCommerce transactional sites and supporting B2B tools, ideally within a high traffic environment.
  • Ability to develop a clear, justifiable roadmap for each of your areas of responsibility - including the ability to identify and manage dependencies.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience in dealing with remote stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Experience with deciphering business needs and converting requirements into clear, coherent specifications using user stories, user flows, acceptance criteria and any other supporting documentation.
  • Product research and discovery skills including competitive analysis.
  • Ideally experienced with mobile web solutions, including responsive design.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills, attention to detail and ability to find the correct solution for complex business problems.
  • Self-motivated and able to handle requests from multiple team members with competing priorities.
