We're seeking an enthusiastic Associate Product Manager to join our enrollment team. Our product managers partner with the engineering, design, product, marketing, and implementation teams to align our vision and collaborate to build and execute against the roadmap. The ideal candidate is passionate about building the best possible experience for teachers, students, and administrators and excited to lead cross-functional agile teams. This role will be partnered with a Senior Product Manager in developing the next generation of enrollment tools at Amplify, ensuring quick and easy access to our products.
Responsibilities of the Associate Product Manager:
Be an agile team leader:

  • Communicate product vision and goals to your team regularly to motivate them and empower team members to prioritize work.
  • Serve as a key partner and collaborative leader of your cross-functional agile team to plan, develop, design, test, and deliver working software.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives, scrum, etc.) and accept completed work.
  • Prioritize your backlog, breakdown features into user stories, and elaborate on those stories for your agile team.


Communicate across the organization:

  • Proactively connect with key partners and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of product vision and execution.
  • Track progress toward successful delivery. Raise issues, risks, and dependencies, and work collaboratively to resolve them.
  • Thoroughly understand your product's features, content, user experience, and relationship to the broader product ecosystem, so that you may effectively communicate your component with a broad range of team members.
  • Draft release notes, announcements, and training materials to support the launch of new features and products.


Develop outstanding products:

  • Empathize with our customers' and users' needs and be a hardworking advocate for their point of view through all phases of product development.
  • Conduct user testing interviews, coordinate and recruit for pilots, and visit Amplify schools to identify problems and validate improvements.
  • Research the competitive product landscape and education market.
  • Synthesize data, observations, and other research into insights that help inform product strategy.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 1+ year of experience in a product management role
  • Organizational skills and phenomenal attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Strong project management skills


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a school/District Administration office/role
  • Experience with the software development life cycle, from concept to delivery, using Agile practices
  • Background in technology, design, user experience, curriculum development
