Position Reports To: Director of Customer Products, IDS North America

Position Summary: The Associate Product Manager (APM) is primarily tasked with developing marketing and sales programs in support of ongoing sales growth of Electromark. In this capacity, the APM will work closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing, Electromark, Electromark Customer Service Supervisor, and Regional Sales Managers to determine appropriate messaging, price points, and program incentives for both end-users and channel partners. It is critical that the person in this role develops a strong understanding of the value proposition of our products, the competitive landscape as it relates to our offerings, and the impacts of any pricing decisions relative to both margins and product positioning in the market. This role will be responsible for refining the corporate branding and marketing content with the objective of increasing Electromark's market presence as an industry leader

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the value proposition of Electromark's product offering and core competencies
  • Works closely with Regional Sales Managers, Inside Sales, Rep Agents, and Sales Management to effectively design and create
    sales and marketing collateral, perform product line rationalization and launch new products
  • Assesses market pricing and establishes pricing guidelines for new programs and specific deals, as aligned with margin guidance
    and market positioning guidelines; coordinating with Electromark Application Engineer to offer alternative product solutions where
    appropriate
  • Competitive part number translation and Electromark product selection for new product launches, significant competitive opportunities
    and bids
  • Partners with Electromark Applications Engineer to develop product-training support to the sales teams and rep agents. Training
    will include both in-person training as well as virtual sessions
  • Develop new and creative sales enablement tools for Electromark products; personas; decision maker identification; sales positioning
    statements
  • Responsible for the Electromark.com website to maximize revenue
  • Design and distribute reoccurring news alerts using Constant Contact or similar tools
  • Organize trade shows, 2-3 / year in North America and coordinate with Regional Sales managers regarding local trade shows


Required Knowledge, Skills Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, marketing or other related field
  • Minimum 3 years of sales or marketing experience
  • In-depth understanding of sales and business performance metrics
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to facilitate large-group discussions
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to drive high-visibility, cross-functional projects
  • Strong understanding of product differentiation and competitive strategy techniques
  • Ability to travel 20%, US and Canada.
  • Strong analytical capabilities to utilize multiple data points and analytic tools to develop pricing insights and structure deals.

  • Experience with coordinating external resources for digital and hard copy marketing collateral preferred
  • Experience using web analytics and SEO Tools to optimized web content preferred
