About the Role: 
PitchBook is looking for an Associate Product Manager to join our Data Product team. This role will be responsible for improving our proprietary data collection tools and ensuring they are meeting the needs of the teams that leverage them. This role will also work with other product managers to improve the way our data is represented to clients on PitchBook’s platform, ensuring our clients get the accurate data they need to win.

PitchBook’s Product team is responsible for building and maintaining our award winning PitchBook Platform and the product suite built on top of it including PitchBook Desktop, PitchBook Mobile, Excel and Chrome plugins, Public API, and Data Feeds.

At PitchBook, Product Managers actively influence product roadmaps, feature prioritization, and user experience. PitchBook Product Managers establish project goals, measure business impact and identify additional opportunities for success in the PitchBook Platform.

At the heart of every PitchBook product is our data. Our platform includes rich datasets on both public and private markets along with deep granularity on the financial networks and capital flows that fund them. Product Managers on the Data Platform team work collaboratively with key stakeholders and project teams to build tools that enable PitchBook to source, process, validate, and deliver this data to clients efficiently.
Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Help define and execute the data product roadmap
  • Partner with engineering teams to establish the vision and strategy for improving PitchBook’s data intake pipelines including internal data services, APIs, and human-in-the-loop systems
  • Measure your business impact and identify additional opportunities for success
  • Collaborate with other product teams to influence roadmap prioritization across multiple areas
  • Report key updates to stakeholders and executives
  • Enable and oversee the adoption of new features to drive process improvements
  • Build customer empathy through in-depth client research

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of product management experience
  • Experience defining and shipping digital solutions
  • Experience gathering customer-centric requirements
  • Experience writing functional design specification documents
  • Superior analytical, interpersonal, and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Working knowledge of SQL
