Sr Technical Product Manager - Data Products, AI/ML Platforms

The Sr. Product Manager- Data Products and AI/ML Platforms will play a pivotal role owning the vision and products for tools and applications that transform our marketing data into actionable insights and outcomes. You will own two key areas—data products and our AI infrastructure. Your broad responsibilities will include:
- Data Products
- Work with multiple cross functional teams and leaders on changes and new initiatives that have an impact on marketing performance and therefore, existing data infrastructure
- Work with Data Engineering on a path to “democratize data” and empower analysts and business users across Marketing to generate insights in a self-service manner.
- Research and procure 3rd party datasets to supplement our modeling inputs and existing 1st party customer data.
- AI/ML Platforms
- Work closely with internal customers, including data scientists, across teams team to understand their needs- delivering on an MLOps vision with products and processes that enable consistent and repeatable pipelines for our models.
- Advocate for platform, process, and model adoption to enhance business or operational outcomes by championing use of ML as a business transformation strategy.
- Set the roadmap for continued enhancement of our AI/ML platform capabilities with internal or external tools.
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter and effective problem-solver with proven experience working across an organization to get things done. They will be adept at cutting through an onslaught of requests to assess business impact and drive prioritization towards results.
What you'll do:
- Develop and maintain the roadmap for all data products including our Marketing Data Mart
- Enhance and improve the maturity of the AI Platform as a product to enable better services for Marketers and Data Scientists as well as Marketing Analytics.
- Engage very closely with the Engineering leader on the team to solve data, infrastructure, and scalability challenges across Marketing Technology.
- Lead conversations with partner teams across Chewy to understand marketing implications of the various activities on Marketing technology stack and translate those conversations into requirements for the marketing engineering team.
- Provide requirements for integrations with external partners to ensure data flow and accurate instrumentation.
- Drive adoption, communicate & showcase new features added to products in your portfolio.
- Exhibit a strong sense of ownership, bias for action, & superior communication skills; be willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or similar discipline.
- 7+ years of overall experience; 4+ years in product management in an engineering or business capacity.
- Experience with various data warehouse storage or data lake technologies such as Vertica, Snowflake etc.
- Strong understanding of large-scale AI/ML platforms and business transformation with AI/ML, experience implementing such solutions
- Experience with ML technologies like AWS SageMaker, DataBricks, Vertex AI, MS Azure ML, as well as Feature Store capabilities like AWS Feature Store, Tecton, HopsWorks, Feast.
- Proficiency in SQL, APIs, endpoints, ETL/ELT and data manipulation.
- Proven track record of managing and executing large projects from start to finish, identifying and mitigating risks, manage multiple competing priorities, high attention to detail and situational fluency, ability to influence and motivate others, and perseverance to handle challenging business situations and make trade-offs at all levels of management
- Strong ownership, urgency, and drive, and build culture of experimentation, learning and innovation
- Experience working in an agile software development environment leveraging Scrum; track record of building productive relationships with engineering leadership
- Strong written, verbal, analytical and problem-solving skills
Bonus:
- Marketing Technology experience including, and not limited to various marketing analytics systems such as Google Analytics, Segment.io, Appsflyer etc.
- Knowledge of marketing concepts such as Pixels, Deep Linking etc.
- Knowledge of Agile systems such as JIRA and Confluence
