We are looking for a strong product manager who will be a key player in delivering compelling and engaging customer experiences on the AppDynamics platform. We believe that defining core experiences around unified information architecture and strong design standards empower customers to get maximum value from AppDynamics and it also helps AppDynamics scale.
This role requires a product manager, who is passionate about user experience and believes they can translate customer pain points into simple and easy-to-use workflows. In this role, you will work closely with a motivated team on redefining the core experience, improving engagement and retention with breakthrough user experiences. As a Product Manager, you should understand how our users engage with and learn the best ways to use our product whether troubleshooting or proactive monitoring. Initiative and curiosity are critical to this role to validate assumptions about user personas with various types of user testing. You will work with cross-functional teams to define and ship experiences to meet these needs.

  • Own the entire development lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, definition, feature prioritization, gathering user feedback, and bringing the feature to market.
  • Actively prioritize the product backlog, coordinate planning with stakeholders and designers to drive User Experience best practices across the organization, including accessibility and usability.
  • Participate in UX demos and work with UX partners to deliver the best User Experience.
  • Foster a collaborative relationship between the product management team, designers, user researchers, and go-to-the-market teams.
  • Advocate User research, assist with the planning and execution of usability studies
  • Develop empathy for our customers and field teams so that you truly understand the customer and their needs. You will articulate those needs within AppDynamics and lead product initiatives that build solutions tailored to meet those needs.
  • Drive the culture of Data-Driven Insights to help make product decisions. Define success metrics for your product, track progress, and build plans to act on analysis.
  • Socialize our roadmap with customers and internal audiences to constantly promote and optimize our strategy.


You are a product manager who is passionate about streamlining the User experience, building an easy-to-use product, and positioning the product to address any market gaps. Your ability to ask questions, solve problems, establish relationships and consensus with the stakeholders as well stay on top of the execution details are crucial in delivering a successful product. You pay attention to details, are collaborative, analytical, and resourceful. You have the ability to work under time constraints to meet expectations. You have a true passion for building delightful customer experiences.

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience, with a consistent record of shipping software in a B2B context.
  • Building great end-user experiences that deliver real value without complexity.
  • Capability to break down sophisticated problems into manageable goals and find simple solutions to meet diverse needs. Ability to articulate clear requirements and customer needs to a cross-functional team.
  • Ability to build quick trust on teams, and approach problems from a curious, ready-to-learn perspective.
  • Excellent judgment and a sense of prioritization, along with an ability to see the story in qualitative and quantitative data. Ability to organize, plan, and sequence projects. You can run multiple projects without compromising results.
  • Ability to collaborate with Engineering, Operations, UX, Pricing, Marketing, and influence other teams to get things done.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence decisions across all company levels, especially without formal authority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Data visualization, Mobile Applications, Accessibility, and Localization is an asset.
