Job Description

As a Product Owner I, you will help shape the future of ALSAC’s fundraising technology platforms by driving the development of innovative solutions that empower our fundraisers and enhance donor engagement. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver product experiences that exceed expectations, solve real-world challenges, and inspire advocacy.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about user-centered design, agile product development, and making a meaningful impact through technology.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Roadmap Support

  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the product team.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support the product vision, 3-year roadmap, release plans, and backlog prioritization.

  • Monitor product health, value delivery, KPIs, and usage metrics.

Product Planning & Execution

  • Maintain product-specific plans and coordinate feature development.

  • Ensure product quality, security compliance, and timely software releases.

  • Translate requirements into functional designs and manage defect resolution.

User Experience & Design Collaboration

  • Define user stories, requirements, and journey maps.

  • Create wireframes and support user-centered design efforts.

  • Participate in usability testing and apply insights to improve product outcomes.

Stakeholder Engagement & Enablement

  • Translate customer needs into product specifications.

  • Support internal training and documentation to highlight business benefits of product features.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure solutions align with organizational goals.

Product Operations & Market Insight

  • Manage day-to-day product activities including release coordination and reporting.

  • Conduct competitive and industry analysis to inform product decisions.

  • Partner with external vendors to enhance platform capabilities.

Innovation in Live Event Solutions

  • Test and monitor new live event technologies.

  • Assess ROI and recommend process improvements to elevate fundraising experiences.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Product Development, or a related field and 3- 5 years of information technology experience. Agile Product Owner certification, or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in product ownership or product management, preferably in nonprofit or fundraising technology.

  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and user-centered design principles.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to translate complex requirements into intuitive product experiences.

  • Analytical mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
