The Product Marketing Manager, is responsible for the development, support and delivery of marketing tactics to drive awareness, adoption, and growth of our offerings and services within the EV (Electric Vehicle) Battery Solutions team. As EV continues to grow and expand, this role will also be expected to support the newly formed Cox Automotive Vehicle Services business which currently sits at the intersection of the Manheim and EV Battery Solutions teams. This is an exciting time to join the business as we believe that electrification is the future of Automotive.
The role serves as the day-to-day marketing lead to deliver metrics-based results and grow and nurture our client base across various customers segments: OEMs, new form OEM's, Fleets and more. Key functions for this role include strategic plan development, brand & product marketing, client marketing, sales enablement, thought leadership and retention - all while delivering on business goals and defining a clear value proposition to support our go-to-market approach. This role will also play a significant part in helping us create the future of EV battery and Cox Automotive Vehicle Services with a focus on delivering and communicating value to our customers and prospects.
This position will partner with marketing counterparts, stakeholders and boundary partners across the organization, leverage creative and media agencies to develop and activate campaigns, content marketing, paid media, collateral and sales enablement tools across multiple channels including client meetings, RFPs, industry events, email, website, print and digital display advertising, direct mail, and sales enablement platforms.
The ideal candidate will have experience in brand, product, portfolio, or solutions marketing executing the go-to-market strategy for new products and initiatives, orchestrating all functions within the marketing organization and a wide range of internal business stakeholders including Sales, Sales Operations, Technology, Internal & External Communications and Events & Tradeshows across Cox Automotive. The Product Marketing Manager will need to become an expert on the services, target markets, clients, and competition to translate knowledge into high-impact strategies and materials that clearly communicate the value of our products and capabilities to the industry.
This role will report to the Sr. Director, Marketing for Cox Automotive Enterprise & Mobility.
What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute yearly and quarterly strategic marketing plans to support EV Battery Solutions and Vehicle Services.
  • Provide guidance and direction to agency partners to deliver high-impact creative assets that drive prospect and client engagement and leads for our sales team.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing management, including executive leadership, to ensure business objectives are met, teams are aligned with plans, and communications are clear.
  • Execute extensive org/team culture support initiatives in partnership with EVBS leadership, Communications, and People Solutions team to foster positive environment and engagement.
  • Support client meetings/presentations and ensuring CAI template and brand guidelines are adhered visually/messaging.
  • Support new business opportunities with RFP/RFI/RFQ development and editing
  • Partner with sales leadership to develop the sales enablement strategy based on analytics, value proposition and specific target, working collaboratively to optimize and drive conversion KPIs.
  • Create and support the development of sales enablement collateral,socialization of assets and management of enablement repositories to drive efficiencies.
  • Use "voice of the client" perspective when developing product positioning and messaging that differentiates Cox Automotive in the marketplace.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to understand the product value, key messaging, and early adopters to drive marketing collateral, testimonials, and case studies.
  • Support marketing and industry events at a national level.
  • Foster and champion a culture of inclusivity, collaboration and empowerment for the betterment of the team, business and company.
  • Inspire the team to take new and innovative steps to develop unique content and messaging and to educate the industry.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 6 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 4 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 10 years' experience in a related field
  • Progressive experience in marketing for a sales-driven organization
  • B2B brand, product, portfolio, or solutions marketing experience
  • Balanced mix of strategic, creative and executional capabilities
  • Strong written communication, verbal communication, and presentation skills that are adaptable across all levels of organization
  • Strong collaboration skills; team player with a customer-centric focus and the ability to develop partnerships in a matrixed organization
  • Able to manage different projects at the same time
  • Ability to work with remote management, and global stakeholders
  • Project Management, technical/analytical skills
  • Strategic thinker and creative marketer
  • Ability to embrace change, wear multiple hats and work in a variety of environments, from start-ups to matrixed organizations
  • Track record of utilizing research and insights to identify new market opportunities and develop customer strategies to execute against those opportunities
  • Experience launching new products with specific goal alignment. Familiar with product development lifecycle a plus
  • Experience writing and executing marketing plans
  • Demonstrated knowledge of digital, traditional and social media communications
  • Demonstrated ability to complete day to day operational functions while leading internal partners and resources through influence.
  • Knowledgeable about marketing strategy, advertising, and market research
  • Excellent project management, collaboration and communications skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and firm commitment to high quality content and execution.
  • Experience across multiple facets of marketing, including product marketing, brand positioning, campaign development, content marketing, thought leadership, development of sales enablement tools.
  • Analysis skills to not only present data but also summarize the findings and propose recommendations for future improvement.

USD 97,100.00 - 161,800.00 per year
Compensation includes a base salary of $97,100.00 - $161,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, parental leave, and COVID-19 vaccination leave.
