About the role:  We are seeking a proactive and driven Product Manager to help achieve the mission of the Apprentice Tempo product by identifying and solving key problems faced by our manufacturing users. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in batch-based manufacturing or manufacturing software, with a strong understanding of product management, agile processes, and user research. They should be effective problem solvers who thrive in ambiguity, capable of prioritizing and managing feature requests based on business value. Excellent communication skills are essential for collaborating across teams and building alignment with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A passion for the manufacturing sector and a "roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude are crucial for success in this role.


Key Responsibilities:

Product Management Core

  • Help achieve the Apprentice Tempo product mission and vision
  • Fall in love with discovering, dissecting, and understanding our manufacturing users’ problems
  • Identify compelling problems to solve in the form of epics/features based on customer needs, market opportunity, and manufacturing risk
  • Analyze and prioritize feature requests based on business value, user impact, and other factors
  • Maintain and prioritize the backlog of epics coordinating with the other product members to ensure seamless and cohesive releases
  • Define business requirements and work with feature product owners and engineers throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Engage with, interview, and collaborate with users to understand the details of their problems
  • Follow, maintain, and optimize the product processes as the team scales
  • Influence product strategy and the release roadmap through thorough backlog analysis, refinement, and collaboration with internal stakeholders 


Cross-Collaboration

  • Cross-collaborate with the other product, engineering, and quality team members to ensure we maintain a holistic product experience
  • While product managers own the problem, you will still collaborate with product owners, engineers, and quality team members to craft the most optimal user solution
  • Work with support, product specialists and delivery leads leveraging our embedded product analytics tools to identify usage trends and create targeted in-app guidance
  • Help grow our product-led motion ensuring healthy trial product experience and engagement


Supporting Broader Business

  • Measure your impact by driving your key results for company-wide OKRs
  • Be adaptable to accelerating market and business waves resulting in swift prioritization changes
  • Communicate and collaborate regularly with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to understand their product needs
  • Be curious about and stay on top of the manufacturing market and competitive trends and incorporate them into your analysis and recommendations
  • Be a passionate evangelist of the Apprentice platform helping present, author, and drive content
  • Become a master of the Tempo Product Experience - Map the end to end customer journey from the product lens (including, trial, onboarding, training, configuration, go-live, support).  


Qualifications

  • Forges paths with a can-do, art-of-the-possible attitude, with a high internal motor to produce mass results at a high velocity 
  • View no task as too small and willing to get hands dirty
  • Skilled at finding patterns and insight in large data sets
  • Passion for learning and helping in pharma (and batch-based) manufacturing
  • Ability to create a logical path in ambiguity and shifting priorities
  • Proven track record of making tough decisions with polarized loud stakeholders
  •  2-5 years experience in batch-based manufacturing or manufacturing software 
  • Bonus: 2-5 years experience as a Product Manager for a software product (B2B cloud experience a plus)
  • Experience with agile development processes and frequent product release cycles in a validated regulated environment 
  • Product management, human-centered design, or user research certifications a plus
  • Strong empathy for the developers and quality engineers
  • Excellent communication skills -the ability to build alignment and clarity across both technical and non-technical audiences, including internal teams and customers/partners
  • Technical or engineering-based Bachelor’s degree (MBA or master’s a plus)
  • Legal authorization to work for any employer in the U.S.
