Job Description

As Investment Product Manager, you’ll play a vital role in protecting and stewarding TAL’s heritage investment portfolio ensuring promises made to customers over time continue to be honored with care, integrity and trust. Managing a diverse and complex portfolio with significant assets, your work helps deliver certainty, sustainability and confidence in a changing regulatory and market environment. By simplifying where it matters and strengthening long‑term value, you’ll contribute directly to TAL’s purpose of protecting lives and futures, while helping reimagine how legacy products can continue to serve Australians meaningfully.

In this role you will:

  • Steward TAL’s heritage investment portfolio to deliver sustainable value, trust and regulatory confidence
  • Ensure products consistently meet customer, partner and regulatory commitments
  • Lead product simplification and improvement initiatives that strengthen outcomes and long‑term profitability
  • Drive regulatory and compliance change to protect customers and the integrity of the portfolio
  • Partner across the business and with trustees to deliver aligned, well‑governed product outcomes
  • Provide clear insights and data‑led recommendations to support informed decision‑making

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years’ experience in product management, ideally within financial services
  • Experience in superannuation, life insurance and/or wealth management environments
  • Working knowledge of investment, insurance and superannuation regulation, with the ability to navigate change confidently
  • Confidence working with multiple stakeholders and priorities in delivery‑focused environments
  • Strong relationship‑building and influencing skills, enabling effective cross‑functional collaboration
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, suited to engaging diverse audiences
