As part of a small, hardworking, and accomplished team of experts supporting Blue Engines analytics, reporting, and software development, you’ll work on solving problems that directly support our rocket engineers. As the Product Manager, you will work with the Senior Product Managers to ensure the conceptual and technical goals of the project are met on behalf of the stakeholders. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing functional requirements, execution, and performance for a core set of features and/or components. You will fill a flexible role within a fast-paced development team, collaborating with business customers and developers to deliver software and data solutions across Blue Engines. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of the development life cycle from requirements, development, testing, to deployment and measurement of adoption and business impact. This hands-on position requires a dedication to timely delivery, detail, and direct customer engagement. You’ll be uniquely positioned to help Blue Engines scale and grow as we embark on ever more bold engineering and business opportunities.

Information security is vital to this role; we protect export-controlled technology secrets and proprietary company information.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the development and execution of product roadmaps
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to define product requirements
  • Drive tool product launches and ensure flawless execution
  • Evaluate customer feedback to continuously improve product offerings
  • Track and measure project success, improvements, and value by defining standard metrics
  • Works on larger projects with guidance from Senior Product Managers to ensure successful delivery and client satisfaction
  • Works on smaller projects with limited guidance
  • Responsible for managing the tasks and output of an individual project i.e. ceremonies, tickets, and progress reporting
  • Manages time effectively and keeps the development team unblocked
  • Has a solid understanding of software development and technical constraints
  • Think creatively. Challenge why things are done a certain way and determine novel ways to build solutions better and/or faster

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, project management or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in product management, preferably in the aerospace or manufacturing industry
  • Exceptional leadership and collaboration skills
  • Strong understanding of software development life-cycle
  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand complex engineering concepts
  • Ambitious and driven individual
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with business customers
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion 
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Desired:

  • Experience to configuration management systems specifically Windchill
  • Experience in aerospace or manufacturing
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services
  • Understanding of APIs
  • Understanding of designing both relational and non-relational databases


 

Compensation Range for:

WA applicants is $107,730.00-$150,822.00

Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.

Discretionary bonus: Bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
