Why this role is awesome:As our first Product Manager in Las Vegas, you’ll work directly where our product is live. Embedded in our only operational market, you’ll have immediate access to customers, remote drivers, and operations, enabling you to identify opportunities early and turn real-world insights into meaningful product improvements.Your work will shape how our product scales across the US. You’ll run on-ground experiments, validate ideas quickly, and influence feature decisions that set the standard for future markets.You’ll collaborate closely with customer service and operations in Las Vegas, while partnering with product and engineering teams in Berlin to translate local needs into high-quality releases that reflect how users interact with our service every day. This is a hands-on, high-impact role with visibility and ownership over key user-facing improvements.
What you'll be driving:Customer Insight & Feedback Integration:
- Act as the primary connection between Las Vegas operations and Berlin product teams, integrating insights from customer support and direct user interactions.
- Gather and categorize feedback to prioritize customer issues, ensuring that solutions are aligned with real-world needs and quickly address pain points.
Product Discovery & Validation:
- Lead user research and market analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and new features.
- Conduct focus groups, user interviews, and on-ground testing to validate product concepts and inform feature prioritization based on local demand.
Feature Development & Quality Assurance:
- Manage user acceptance testing (UAT) for new releases, coordinating with engineering and design to address issues.
- Ensure high-quality, customer-focused feature rollouts that meet product standards and user needs.
Operational Alignment & Cross-Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Las Vegas operations team to ensure product updates align with real-time service needs and operational insights.
- Act as the on-site bridge to Berlin teams, aligning on issues, updates, and priorities.
Roadmap & Strategic Adaptation:
- Support in continuously adapting the product roadmap based on evolving customer needs and market demands.
- Support long-term product strategy and growth in the Las Vegas market, making data-driven adjustments to maintain competitive relevance.
Essential Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in a product management role, or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on product experience in building mobile apps, preferably in the automotive or transportation industries.
Mindset & Approach
Customer Focus: A strong commitment to understanding user needs and turning insights into product improvements.
Analytical Approach: Ability to interpret user data, feedback, and market trends to guide decisions and prioritize effectively.
Practical Problem-Solving: Comfortable working on-site to address issues quickly and collaborating across teams to find efficient solutions.
Clear Communication: Skilled at aligning stakeholders in different locations and maintaining transparent, structured communication.
Experimentation Mindset: Experience running on-ground tests, UAT, and other validation methods to refine product direction.
Operational Awareness: Understanding of operational workflows and how product changes impact real-world service delivery.
Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and can make informed trade-offs that drive meaningful impact.

Vay's first commercial service is now live in Las Vegas, Nevada: By-minute rental cars. Delivered driverless.
Vay is the first company to drive a car without a person inside on public streets in Europe and the US, enabled by teledriving (e.g. remote driving) technology. Vay aims to launch a sustainable, affordable, door-to-door mobility service with remotely driven ("teledriven") cars: Teledrivers bring an electric car to the customer and pick it up after the journey is completed, eliminating the time-consuming search for a parking spot for the customer. While in the car, the customers drive themselves.
Vay sees teledriving as an alternative approach to autonomous driving and aims to gradually introduce autonomous functions in its system based on high-quality teledrive data.
Vay was founded in Berlin in 2018 by Thomas von der Ohe, Fabrizio Scelsi and Bogdan Djukic. Vay's team of 150+ people combines the best of two worlds - software & product experience from Silicon Valley and automotive hardware & safety engineering from Europe. The company has offices in Berlin and Hamburg, Germany, as well as in Las Vegas, USA. Vay raised a USD 95m Series B funding round.
