About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Product Designer ready to level up their career in a high-impact startup environment. You'll work closely with the Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to design intuitive solutions that serve architects and design professionals. This is a perfect opportunity for a mid-level designer looking to expand their product thinking, own meaningful projects, and grow rapidly alongside our company.

This is a fully remote position that will require you to work US East Coast (EST) hours.

Responsibilities

Product Design & Strategy

  • Partner with Product Managers to define product strategy and translate business objectives into compelling user experiences
  • Lead end-to-end design process from concept to launch, including discovery, ideation, prototyping, and validation
  • Make strategic design decisions based on user research, data insights, and business goals
  • Champion design thinking and user-centered approaches across the organization

Design Execution

  • Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile platforms
  • Develop and maintain a scalable design system that ensures consistency across all products
  • Design with engineering constraints in mind, balancing ideal experiences with technical feasibility
  • Iterate quickly based on user feedback and data insights

Research & Validation

  • Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing
  • Synthesize research findings into actionable insights and design opportunities
  • Define and track success metrics for design initiatives
  • Use data and A/B testing to validate design decisions and improve conversion

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Engineering to ensure smooth handoff and implementation
  • Collaborate with Product Managers on roadmap planning and feature prioritization
  • Partner with Customer Success to understand user pain points and support needs
  • Contribute to product documentation, including UI specifications and acceptance criteria
  • Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders at all levels

Startup Contributions

  • Wear multiple hats as needed, including supporting marketing with visual assets
  • Help establish design processes and best practices as we scale
  • Contribute to company culture and team building initiatives
  • Be comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities

Requirements

Experience

  • 2-4 years of product design experience, ideally with some B2B SaaS exposure
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments (startups or growing tech companies preferred)
  • Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design process and problem-solving ability
  • Track record of shipping features that improved key metrics

Product & Business Acumen

  • Growing understanding of how design drives business outcomes
  • Eagerness to work closely with Product Managers on strategy
  • Ability to balance user needs with technical constraints
  • Interest in learning SaaS metrics and user engagement patterns

Technical Skills

  • Expert proficiency in Figma and modern design tools
  • Experience building and maintaining design systems
  • Strong prototyping skills for communicating interactions and flows
  • Understanding of front-end development principles (HTML, CSS, responsive design)
  • Familiarity with analytics tools and data-driven design
  • Proficiency with AI tools for design research, rapid prototyping, and content generation (ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, Figma AI, etc.)

  • Excellent visual design skills with attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication for presenting design decisions
