Job Description
- Serve as the first point of contact for process-related questions in energy systems, ensuring seamless communication and support.
- Responsibilities include developing and preparing heat integration concepts, along with heat and mass diagrams for Power-to-X (PtX) projects, such as steam cycles and reactor cooling.
- Create process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for assigned scopes, ensuring accuracy and industry compliance.
- Preparing and reviewing comprehensive engineering documents to support project success.
- Participate in safety integrity level (SIL) reviews and safety studies, contributing to safe and efficient process designs.
- Provide remote and on-site support during commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimizing plant operations.
- Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies on plant performance assessments.
- The role requires a willingness to travel up to 15% for project-related activities.
Qualifications
- Masters’ degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering with experience in process design.
- Solid knowledge in process engineering, use of CAE programs, P&IDs, logic diagrams, and simulation tools (COMOS, Ebsilon, MatLab, Aspen etc.).
- Adaptable team player with good communication skills on different levels (from commissioning teams to Project Managers).
- Self-driven, open minded personality with attention to detail and precise working style.
- Fluency in English; German language knowledge is an advantage.
