Process Engineer Advanced Therapies Solutions (x|f|m) – Hybrid

We are looking for a Process Engineer (x|f|m) for our Advanced Therapies Solutions division (ATS) in the Continuous Improvement & Technology CCM team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and optimizing production processes to ensure efficiency, quality and safety. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions, drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to expansion projects.
The team consists of nine professionals, and we are looking forward to shaping the future with you. You will have the flexibility of mobile working combined with your weekly presence on-site in Freiburg (Sartorius CellGenix GmbH).

Your tasks 

• Improvement and assimilation alignment of the fermentation production processes globally

• GMP-compliant technology transfer of manufacturing processes

• Support in building production protocols and carrying out production processes according to the requirements

• Manage and accompany technological projects, leading changes and improvements in production

• Implement and develop process specifications for new equipment related to GMP production

• Engage in multi-interface works inside and outside the site to ensure seamless operations

• Write procedures, protocols, and technological reports for powder production processes

• Support in writing qualification documents (URS/IQ/OQ/PQ/PPQ) for new equipment or improving existing equipment related to production

• Communicate with suppliers at a technical level to ensure all technical requirements and specifications are met

Your qualifications 

• You have a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, biotechnology, bioprocess engineering or a similar qualification

• Several years of professional experience in the GMP/ISO 9001 environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry

• Proven experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment, preferably in fermentation production

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus

• Fluent oral and written communication skills in English and German
