A Day in The Life Of:
As an Engineer in the Structural Heart and Aortic Process Development team, you will actively participate in all areas of new product development including the following: Design, Technology development, Automation, Vendor management & Project management.
You will use Design, Reliability & Manufacturability methodology (DRM), and 3-D drawing to develop best in class technologies, equipment, and processes for the manufacture of our new medical device product ranges.
You will collaborate with cross functional teams to define, execute, and deliver on New Product Development requirements.
You will support teams driving technology process innovation with emphasis on improving quality, technical rigor and developing state of the art systems that range from mechanized to semi-automated.
You will support process development, characterization, and validation activities to support new product introduction.
You will utilize your new and existing skillsets in design for six sigma tools including DOE’s, MSA’s, Requirements Flow, Brainstorming, DMAIC process, project management and technology development to solve technical problems.
You will compile, document, and present all learnings to project and functional teams e.g., Technical Reviews and Previews, Design Reviews, Project Dashboards.
You will participate in functional initiatives that support the continuous improvement of the Process Development organization.
You will always have new opportunities, pursuing ideas that are exciting and innovative. Think critically about healthcare device manufacturability problems and opportunities to advance process technology development faster than others.
Key Skills & Experience
Minimum NFQ Level 7 Degree in Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical Engineering, Science, or related discipline.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a talented team and can work effectively and proactively on cross-functional teams.
Good understanding of product and process design.
Proficient oral and written communication skills and ability to develop warm cross functional relationships.
Good organizational, presentation and project management skills.
