Summary

The Pro Sales Specialist is responsible for qualifying, selling and processing Pro flooring purchase orders and managing leads from our customer to ensure our client’s Pro customers are given the highest level of satisfaction and taking market share.

Essential Functions

  • Developing and maintaining Pro customer relationships to establish repeat business
  • Meet monthly with our client’s outside sales representatives to develop strategic plans for growth
  • Monitoring sales data to identify stores in need of training
  • Set up monthly meetings with key Pro customers to present solutions to their businesses
  • Conduct in store trainings to build confidence in the Pro flooring programs
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's in business administration or a related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in sales, preferably in the interior construction industry..

Skills & Competencies  

Required

  • Strong technology skills and the ability to leverage technology in work processes
  • Professional-level verbal and written communication skills and the ability to negotiate agreement between parties with different perspectives
  • High level organizational skills, time management skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment to consistently meet deadlines
  • Ability to anticipate, identify and resolve problems in a timely and positive manner
  • Ability to take ownership of responsibilities and effectively handle interpersonal relationships with others
  • Knowledge of principles, procedures and best practices in the industry
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with demonstrated success creating and implementing plans in high-growth, dynamic environments
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office programs experience and Advanced Excel.

Preferred

  • Ability to monitor and manage multiple customers concurrently
  • Strong understanding of the residential and commercial floor covering industry
