Cloud Engineer Japan

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented  Cloud Engineer with foundational knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) to support cloud infrastructure initiatives. In this role, you will assist in deploying, monitoring, and maintaining cloud environments, while learning from senior team members and gaining hands-on experience with modern cloud technologies.

This is a great opportunity for someone starting their career in cloud engineering who wants to build practical skills in a real-world environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with provisioning and managing AWS resources such as EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, Lambda, and VPCs.
• Help maintain development, testing, and production environments in AWS.
• Participate in the setup and deployment of applications to AWS using best practices.
• Learn and apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and basic scripting (e.g., Bash, Python).
• Support automation of routine tasks such as backups, deployments, and patching under guidance.
• Monitor system health and performance using tools like CloudWatch and AWS Console.
• Assist in troubleshooting AWS infrastructure and application-related issues.
• Follow security best practices for IAM roles, permissions, and key management.
• Support audits and documentation related to cloud security and usage.
• Maintain accurate documentation of cloud resources, configurations, and procedures.
• Collaborate with cloud engineers, developers, and DevOps teams to support project goals.

What we’re looking for:

• 2-3 years of hands-on experience in IT or cloud-related roles (internships included).
• Basic working knowledge of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, RDS).
• Understanding of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, VPCs).
• Exposure to Linux or Windows server administration.
• Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
