PRINCIPAL FULL STACK ENGINEER
The Role
Interested in modernizing one of the largest and most successful recordkeeping systems in the Defined Contributions business? Fidelity Workplace Investing (WI) organization is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to lead a team of software engineers that is building modern cloud solutions which help millions of Fidelity customers prepare for retirement. The ideal candidate can provide technical leadership to an agile team and is ready to manage a small group of software engineers.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science (or a related technology field)
Designing, developing, and maintaining high-volume transactional systems (experience within Financial Services industry is preferred)
Communicating technical solutions to non-technical team members, product owners, and partners
Building relationships across delivery teams and technology partners
Developing REST API and event-driven applications using Java and Java frameworks such as Spring or Spring Boot (at least 8 years of experience)
Developing cloud applications using micro-service architecture and domain-driven principles (Azure and Kubernetes experience is preferred)
Developing software applications with relational databases (Oracle experience is preferred)
Integrating observability and monitoring tools with cloud applications (OpenTelemetry, Splunk, or Datadog experience is preferred)
Delivering software using DevSecOps tools (Git & Jenkins experience is preferred)
Familiarity with ITIL processes like Incident management, Change/Problem management
The Team
Fidelity’s Defined Contribution Recordkeeping Technology team develops the back-end systems that support our Workplace Investing business. You’ll work with people from a variety of Workplace Investing teams to define and build cloud solutions – platforms, systems, components, and software – that fuel our current and future business objectives. You will bring your expertise and skills into a diverse team of engineers and foster relationships with technology leaders, engineers, developers, and architects from across the firm.
Certifications:Category:Information TechnologyMost roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office. This does not apply to Remote or fully Onsite roles.
