The Presales Solution Architect will be responsible for demonstrating and speaking to the value of Workday HCM. You will partner closely with our sales team throughout the sales cycle and will take ownership and accountability as the product expert. You will provide industry and solution leadership at every stage and will act as a trusted advisor to the customer throughout the relationship.

Your key areas of focus are solution envisioning and design, product demonstration, executive-level proposal/contract presentations and Workday partnership activities including Workday sales rep relationship building and go-to market activities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead discovery conversations with the prospect to better understand their current business process and pain points.
  • Use product expertise, storytelling techniques, and solutioning experiences to demonstrate how Workday HCM can solve prospect pain points and meet their business requirements.
  • Lead project scoping discussions to understand and confirm the appropriate scoping of the project.
  • Create and confidently present project proposal options to the prospect's key decision makers.
  • Create implementation contracts in collaboration with internal stakeholders and finalize execution based on any back-and-forth comments from both parties.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Workday sales executives.
  • Create and maintain a library of summary and core feature demonstrations and other marketing materials.
  • Understand and apply Armanino and Workday methodologies.


  • 5 Years presales experience, Workday presales experience a plus.
  • Strong demo presentation skills including the ability to connect the functionality of the product to real world situations and experiences.
  • Outstanding professional discovery, presentation, communication, and influencing skills to C-Level Executives.
  • Industry expertise in one of the following industries: Real Estate, Technology, Professional Services, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Financial Services. Expertise in the Construction or Real Estate industry is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience with Workday HCM, preferably experience implementing with Workday HCM. Experience with other Workday products is a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to communicate and respond quickly with prospects, internal teams, and Workday sales executives.
  • Experience leading scoping discussions and translating the information learned into a formalized proposal or contract.
  • Relationship-building expertise, creative thinking skills, and exemplary problem-solving abilities.
  • Already established, good relationships with Workday sales executives is a plus.
  • Estimated travel 30-50%.
  • Workday HCM implementation certification is desired.
  • Experience with value-based selling is desired.
  • Business experience with other relevant cloud-based HCM applications (e.g., ADP, Paycor, UKG, etc.) is a plus.

Certain states require us to disclose the pay range and benefits summary for job openings. Compensation Range for this position: $171,000-$210,000. Compensation may vary based on skills, role, and location.
