Woodard & Curran is a national engineering, science, and operations firm with a simple vision for clean water, a safe environment, healthy communities, and happy people. As an employee-owned company, we strive to cultivate teams that encourage collaboration in an inclusive culture. We seek talented individuals from all backgrounds to help us address a broad range of water and environmental issues. We prioritize our people, offering opportunities for professional growth, ownership, and flexibility. This commitment enables us to make a meaningful impact on our clients, communities, and the planet.

Woodard & Curran is seeking a seasoned professional to take on a pivotal role within our Design Build team as a Preconstruction Services Manager. This nationwide opportunity is ideal for someone who brings both strategic insight and hands-on expertise to support complex infrastructure and environmental initiatives. You will be part of a team that values innovation, integration, and collaboration - driving projects from concept to construction with precision and purpose.

Who We Are Looking For
We are in search of a sharp, solutions-focused Preconstruction Services Manager who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys influencing project outcomes from day one. If you are energized by cross-disciplinary teamwork and passionate about building smarter, more sustainable solutions, we would love to connect.

In this role, you will work closely with our Design Build National Practice Leader, Project Managers, and cross-functional teams to guide preconstruction efforts. You will help drive constructability reviews, value engineering, estimating, cost control, and procurement strategies - ensuring every project starts strong and stays aligned with cost, schedule, and quality goals. A key part of your responsibility will be ensuring cost objectives are met across contracting, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and bidding for all major projects. You will also ensure compliance with defined cost, schedule, and quality standards throughout the pre-construction period, and help facilitate a smooth transition into the construction phase.

You will play a vital role in resolving design-phase challenges, pricing alternative concepts, and contributing to the development of construction plans. From preparing bid packages and logistics layouts to participating in pre-bid and pre-award meetings, you will be at the heart of our project planning and execution - driving overall success by proactively addressing issues, managing costs, and maintaining high-quality standards.

We are a mission-driven organization that values innovation, teamwork, and excellence. If you are ready to bring your expertise to a team that is redefining how design and construction come together, we would love to hear from you.
