Schrödinger seeks a Postdoctoral Scientist to join us in our mission to improve human health and quality of life through the development, distribution, and application of advanced computational methods!
As a member of the Therapeutics Group, you’ll play a key role in drug discovery research in the area of antimalarial drug resistance, in collaboration with an academic lab. This will be a one-year position.
Who will love this job:
- An experienced scientist who can use SPR and/or ITC to measure the affinity of protein/ligand interactions, and who can solve protein/ligand structures by X-ray crystallography
- A computational modeler who’s familiar with the Schrödinger platform
- A proficient Python programmer
- An excellent verbal and written communicator who’s confident conducting independent research
What you’ll do:
- Perform protein purification
- Execute wet-lab biophysical ligand-binding experiments, such as SPR and ITC
- Make computational modeling calculations, such as molecular dynamics and free energy perturbation simulations
What you should have:
- PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysics, or a related field
- Proficiency in measuring the affinity of protein/ligand interactions
