About the Opportunity
The SSI Digital Shipbuilding Platform is an integrated CAD/PLM enterprise system, developed exclusively for shipbuilding and fleet sustainment. The key SSI Platform software applications are ShipConstructor (3D CAD/CAM) and ShipbuildingPLM. SSI shipbuilding technology is a market leader in North America, with a strong European and Oceania client base.
The SSI PLM Solution Specialist plays a key role in SSI’s Digital Shipbuilding implementation projects, engaging with clients to capture requirements and end-to-end process definitions for the development of a complete integrated SSI solution, with a stronger emphasis on the development and deployment of a ShipbuildingPLM client-specific configurations to support the wider solution architecture.
The position will require collaborating with a larger SSI Platform implementation and SME team and will include engaging with clients through remote meetings with minimal travel. Flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate client time zones. The role will also entail providing client training and coaching for end-users when necessary. The chosen candidate must be located within North America, Australia, or Europe, and will have the flexibility to work fully remotely, or in a hybrid or in-office capacity at our SSI offices in Mobile, AL, USA, or Victoria, BC, Canada.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrations of SSI ShipbuildingPLM powered by Aras Innovator
- Present high-level concepts to clients in a clear and concise manner
- Use case requirements capture, data model and workflow mapping
- Contribute to the development of a client-specific SSI solution architecture.
- ShipbuildingPLM/Aras Innovator configuration and customization
- Planning and execution of QA activities
- Technical review of interim project deliverables
- Development of client-specific training/presentation material
What We Look For:
- At least 4 (four) years of experience implementing PLM projects in medium to large manufacturing industries, ideally with some exposure to shipbuilding/offshore or Engineer-To-Order industry experience
- Familiarity with the Aras Innovator PLM platform is required
- Experience in PLM integration with enterprise systems such as ERP/MES is desired
- Exposure to CAD and Design Review applications is desired
- An understanding of software development to support the development of client-specific PLM configuration and customizations.
- Ability to travel for client engagement meetings/workshops
