Plant Operations Supervisor
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Plant Operations Supervisor to oversee the daily functions of our manufacturing plant. This leadership role is vital in ensuring smooth, efficient, and high-quality plant operations, while providing guidance and oversight to plant personnel in the absence of the Plant Manager. Key Responsibilities:
- Open the plant and manage daily operations to ensure consistent, safe, and efficient production processes.
- Lead and supervise plant personnel, providing direction, motivation, and support to maintain high performance standards.
- Perform all job duties in strict accordance with company safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Safely batch concrete and load trucks according to order specifications, ensuring the highest quality standards are met while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Conduct quality checks on sand moisture, slumps, and temperatures according to scheduled procedures.
- Monitor and maintain equipment, ensuring proper operation and timely maintenance to prevent downtime.
- Assist in training and developing team members to enhance skills and safety awareness.
- Actively motivate team members to achieve production goals and uphold company values.
- Support the Plant Manager in various operational tasks and assume leadership responsibilities in their absence.
- Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in plant operations, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of concrete batching, quality control, and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic maintenance.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications preferred.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of related experience in concrete batching, plant operations, or a similar production environment.
- Possess ACI Level I Certification or can obtain ACI Level I Certification within six months of employment.
- Possess applicable DOT Batching Certifications or can obtain DOT Batching Certifications within six months of employment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of all aspects of concrete batching technology, equipment, methods, and safety is required.
- Ability to work early mornings, nights, and weekends as needed.
- Demonstrated leadership ability to include motivating, developing, and inspiring others.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to work in high pressure situations under tight deadlines.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to safely lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
- Ability to climb, stoop, bend, squat, lift, stretch, push, pull, twist, kneel, stand, walk, sit, reach occasionally.
- Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard daily for extended periods.
- Ability to work outside as needed, with possible exposure to the extremes of hot or cold weather.
