The Opportunity:
The Associate Operations Planner is an entry-level professional who supports the production planning and scheduling process. This role works under close supervision to learn the fundamentals of supply chain planning, including managing work orders, tracking materials, and updating planning systems to ensure data accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contributes to the production schedule by assisting with the creation and release of work orders to the factory floor.
- Supports material flow by tracking component availability and highlighting potential shortages to senior planners.
- Executes specific data entry tasks to ensure planning systems (ERP/MRP) are accurate and up-to-date.
- Assists with generating daily and weekly reports on production output, schedule attainment, and work-in-progress (WIP) levels.
What You'll Do:
Analyze, plan, initiate, and implement all activities related to Back-end supply planning to ensure on-time delivery to support company targets for customer satisfaction, financial and inventory objectives
Proactively identify bottlenecks or areas of constraints that would delay deliveries for downstream production, and/or result in significant impact on MPS.
Ensure that the short-term and mid-team build plans supports Master Production Schedule (MPS)
Manage Assembly execution decisions and optimize capacity of external subcons to support MPS
Support Monthly Supply Reviews at WC level to ensure that opportunities, risks, and escalations from Demand Review are addressed
Support the development of tailored supply chain (TSC) model and implement an inventory plan at Assembly
Support backlog alignment activity as needed (such as allocations or swaps required by Master Scheduling Team)
Who You Are:
BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management or related field of study
2+ years of experience in capacity planning, or material planning preferably in the semiconductor or hi-tech industry
Back-end capacity planning experience is preferred for pre-release and post-release products
Experience with constraint planning tools (preferred)
Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, Kinaxis RapidResponse etc.)
Proficient in Microsoft applications.
Strong data analytical skills and use of tools like analytics tools like Tableau, Power BI, etc.
Excellent interpersonal skills with strong verbal & written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to efficiently multi-task, prioritize, and delegate.
Able to work independently and efficiently on multiple deliverables with competing priorities under timeline pressure
Ability to collaborate with both internal and external customers
Detail oriented and focus on data quality
