Job Description
- Identifies and manages interfaces within their scope
- Coordinating cross-system interfaces with the technical project management and third parties, particularly in clarifying interfaces with other project components.
- Actively collaborating with plant design teams in areas such as component installation, electrical and control, etc.
- Supporting construction and commissioning by addressing issues within the assigned field and related lots or concepts, as built documentation to reflect the on-site changes.
- Specific responsibilities
- Elaborate the 3D model of the Piping in E3D according to the P&IDs
- 3D-models detail design Piping incl. hangers and support
- Piping isometric drawing with bill off material for each drawing, suitable for prefabrication and erection
- Support detail drawings and location.
- Weight estimate (piping, supports, insulation) / BoQs.
- Ensures that his scope of work complies with internal company work instructions, company standards, process engineering requirements, applicable codes (e.g. EN or ASME) as well as contract requirements
- Mark-up changes on P&IDs and communicate back to process engineers
Qualifications
Job specific qualification
- Support for persons performing similar functions
- High degree of autonomy in the management/development of different (sometimes complex) systems
- Good knowledge of project work with different project disciplines
- Can recognize and execute the appropriate way forward, based on experience
- Uses experience when applying standard methods, in order to solve challenging problems
- Takes decisions independently and in a timely manner within pre-determined limits
- Five (5) years experience in piping design of heavy industrial plants, power plants or Oil and Gas plants
Competence in working methods
- Apply complex engineering tools, such as E3D, Navisworks, AutoCad
- Fluent in English
- BIM methodology awareness and knowhow (desired)
- Good problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to prioritize workload and to ensure on time delivery
- Good communication and coordination skills
