We are seeking an experienced and driven People Business Partner to support our New Zealand Pacific business based in Auckland.
In this role, you will partner closely with our global COEs and business leaders to deliver effective people solutions, support organisational growth, and contribute to a positive, high-performing workplace culture.
We’re looking for someone who thrives on working alongside leaders as a trusted advisor, bringing strong commercial acumen and broad HR expertise to shape decisions that support business outcomes, performance and foster meaningful employee experience.
The role:
- Strategic partnering – This is a true partnership role. You won’t simply “do HR” for leaders, you’ll coach, guide and challenge them to lead their people well.
- Change management – help our people to navigate change and evolution, using insights, judgement and relationships to bring understanding and clarity. Lead and drive key projects or activities aimed at process and systems improvement.
- Performance, culture & wellbeing – Support leaders to foster high-performing, respectful and connected teams and champion initiatives that strengthen culture, inclusion, wellbeing and engagement.
- Talent management – Working hand in hand with our Talent team, you’ll support NZ talent strategies and activities to support growth.
- Employee relations and risk management – identifying and supporting potential issues early, fairly, consistently and in line with legislation and company values.
- Projects, initiatives & continuous improvement – you’ll contribute to the delivery of key projects relevant to our business strategy and as new HR, People or Cultural needs emerge.
About you:
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Commerce or other related discipline
- 10+ years’ relevant experience in an ER, HR, within complex environments
- Strong knowledge of New Zealand employment law, with proven experience applying it in practice
- Confidence in leading ER matters with professionalism and discretion
- Commercially astute, with the ability to balance people outcomes alongside business priorities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across all levels
- Acts with high level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism
- A proactive, self-driven individual with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes.
- Experience supporting leaders through organisational change and growth
- The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational HR delivery
- Experience leading or contributing to HR initiatives, projects or continuous improvement activities
- Sound judgement, resilience and the confidence to navigate complex people matters
- A collaborative, curious and solutions-focused mindset
