The Payroll Support Analyst provides foundational support for ongoing workforce data and payroll initiatives, as well as organizational change projects such as acquisitions, consolidations, mergers, and divestitures. The position involves data entry, administrative organization, and analytical assistance that contribute to long-term process improvement and system optimization. The role also includes supporting project coordination activities, such as documenting meetings, tracking tasks, and following up on deadlines, to help ensure effective execution of both routine and project-based work. In addition, this position is responsible for maintaining the security of the payroll system and providing backup support for corporate payroll operations during peak seasons and staff absences. This includes payroll processing, monitoring helpdesk tickets, and escalating issues as neededPrimary Responsibilities (70%)
Workforce Data, Project & Change Support
- Assist in collecting, validating, and organizing data across departments for ongoing analysis initiatives (e.g., Time & Attendance, Payroll, Absence) and organizational change projects (e.g., acquisitions, consolidations, mergers, divestitures).
- Support rollout and tracking of project phases and milestones, including those related to organizational changes.
- Help identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline data workflows and enhance reporting capabilities.
- Help create and maintain Payroll KPIs for current and future state under the direction of the Senior Manager.
Data Entry & Administrative Organization
- Perform accurate and timely data entry for payroll and workforce systems.
- Maintain organized records of project documentation, meeting notes, and task lists for both analysis initiatives and organizational change projects.
- Assist with scheduling, file organization, internal communications, and basic project coordination tasks such as tracking deliverables and maintaining documentation
Secondary Responsibilities (30%)
Payroll System Security
- Monitor access controls and user permissions within the payroll system.
- Ensure compliance with internal security protocols and data protection standards.
Corporate Payroll Support (During Peak Seasons and Staff Absences Only)
- Process payrolls and related activities as backup support.
- Monitor and respond to payroll-related helpdesk tickets.
- Escalate complex issues to senior payroll staff and document resolutions.

Education & Experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Accounting, or related field preferred, or currently working toward completion.
- Internship or prior experience in payroll, administrative support, data analysis, or HR operations is a plus.
Skills & Attributes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word) is helpful; willingness to learn new tools is valued.
- Basic understanding of project coordination or management (e.g., tracking milestones, managing action items, following up on deliverables) is a plus, but not required.
- Experience supporting organizational change (such as acquisitions, mergers, or system rollouts) is helpful but not required.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for documenting meetings, preparing summaries, and collaborating with others.
- Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Analytical mindset, with comfort reviewing data and identifying trends or opportunities for improvement.
- Familiarity with HRIS, payroll, or workforce management systems is a plus, but not required.
- Interest in learning payroll systems, workforce analytics, and timekeeping structures (e.g., pay codes, schedules, accruals).
- Awareness of data security and confidentiality standards.
Pay Range:
