Maintain accurate employee data in Workday for payroll, absence, and timekeeping, including tax details, deductions, direct deposits, garnishments, and reimbursements.
Coordinate and execute the full payroll process for all UHS affiliates, ensuring compliance and timely completion.
Prepare and process special checks, PTO payouts, and other payroll adjustments as needed.
Calculate and submit Federal and NYS tax payments, verify 403(b) contributions, and initiate payments to third-party vendors.
Generate payroll checks and create ACH files for direct deposits across all UHS entities.
Respond to employee and management inquiries regarding payroll policies, procedures, and individual pay details.
Complete employment verifications and wage reporting requests from external agencies, including workers’ compensation.
Manage timekeeping entries for employees on disability or family leave to ensure accurate payroll adjustments.
Minimum Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
1+ years of customer service/clerical experience
Preferred:
A.A.S. Degree.
1 year experience in payroll related functions
Formal payroll, bookkeeping or accounting education.
Customer service experience.
