Role Overview
The Data Exchange Teamwithin NYL GBS IT is seeking an Outbound File Senior Specialist to manage projects with clients and Third-Party Administrators (TPA)s requests for GBS.
What You'll Do:
  • Works directly with our external clients and the client's internal Account Manager to finalize requirements, develop the file solution through the SDLC, and collaboratively move the solution into production.
  • Build strong relationships with business partners (operations, account management, sales) to foster collaboration and understanding and prioritization of client requests. Escalates to senior sales and account management leaders when needed to establish priorities and trade-offs among competing requests.
  • Works with key members of the Sales and Operations organization and Intake leads to understand custom request pipeline to support planning, capacity analysis, and resource decisions.
  • Works with the Portfolio Dependency Management team to ensure the availability of testing environments and understand changes in the capabilities that may impact client data services.
  • Works with both IT resources and business partners to establish and secure resource and timeline commitments to ensure successful delivery of client requests.
  • Works closely with our key business partners to support business processes required to deliver client requests. Escalates to team management as needed to resolve outstanding items that are preventing timely completion of requests.
  • Strictly follows and meets designated governance gates, artifact standards and delivery timelines.
  • Works closely with Intake Manager and Client Data Service Manager to escalate and resolve IT issues in a timely and effective manner in order to not jeopardize client commitments.
  • Engages in proactive & effective issue/risk management. Issues/risks are clearly documented and escalated appropriately. Issues/risks are tracked & managed until closure or corrective action has taken place. Risk mitigation plans are created and effectively utilized.
  • Ability to think and act strategically with a larger view of the end-to-end solution requirements. Proposes changes to IT and business processes to improve efficiency and scalability of client data solutions.
  • Knowledgeable about how organizations work; know how to get things done both through formal channels and the informal network; understand the origin and reasoning behind key policies, practices, and procedures; understand the cultures of organizations.

Scope and Dimensions:
  • Works directly with external clients and leads conversations with all impacted parties.
  • Interacts with Business partners including Sales, Account Management, Product and Operations management, Portfolio Dependency Manager, Intake Group Client & TPA Solutions Senior Specialist, and IT development teams.
  • Must be highly effective in a matrix organization.

What You'll Bring:
  • 5+ years of successful management of planning and executing on client facing requests critical to business success.
  • Working knowledge of Data Stage, SSIS, and web services in order to have effective discussions with IT delivery partners on client needs is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Short-Term Disability, Long Term Disability and Family Medical Leave is a plus.
  • Demonstrated history of strong communication and collaboration abilities in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Strong Planning abilities - demonstrated history of setting milestone dates for a group of client request tasks and ensuring their completion.
  • Degree in Information Science and Technology, Management Information Systems, Business Management, Computer Science or related discipline a plus.
  • Understand team dynamics and strives to improve team effectiveness.
  • Influential, focused and versatile team player that is comfortable under pressure.

Pay Transparency
Salary range: $85,000 - $110,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
