Company Description
The Demand & Supply Planning Specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining the consensus demand plan at multiple levels of aggregation for both finished goods & visibility items, using statistical models and utilizing insights from Sales, Marketing, and Finance. With the consensus demand, he/she will also manage the flow of supply to secure stock availability and efficient inventory levels to ensure 100% of customer fulfilment.
He/she will also be the owner of the local Sales and Operational Planning process to ensure robust reconciliation of forecast against trend, provide weekly/monthly feedback on risks and opportunities regarding stock levels, expiry risks etc., as well as ensures alignment with company’s financial and sales plans.
Job Description
Demand Planning
- Responsible for analyzing the historical sales data, trends, base growth, distribution, market share and create/analyze a statistical forecast and determine the Operations Demand Plan in order to challenge/align with the Sales Demand Plan.
- Collaborate with Sales to understand the past performance of sales, drive root cause analysis to understand forecast error in prior periods and highlight inconsistencies. Challenge the latest sales demand plan, to understand underlying assumptions and compare with the Operations Demand Plan.
- In collaboration with Sales, Finance and Operations, align on the consensus Demand Plan during the monthly S&OP meeting to update/fill out/adjust the Demand Plan in the planning tools in accordance with the consensus.
- Responsible for aligning/composing the placement forecast for visibility items, identifying risks and opportunities to the placement plan and financial framework.
- Meet or exceed targeted KPI’s that include but are not limited to SKU and DC Forecast Accuracy and Service Level.
S&OP Planning
- Responsible for monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and defining the meetings (structure), deadlines for finished goods products and visibility items according to the Global Guidelines.
- Based on consensus Demand Plan, generate monthly local Supply Plan as input for the Global S&OP Process by defining the location split of the Demand Plan, define target stock levels, consider restrictions, etc.
- Implement the globally balanced S&OP in the local supply planning execution.
- Complete the Red Bull IBP system requirements each month and on time.
Supply Planning & Inventory Management
- Translate monthly (globally balanced) supply plan to a weekly planning according to the guidelines, restrictions from Global Supply Chain Planning & Global Logistics HQ.
- Establish and manage inventory levels to ensure no out of stocks according to business plans, while ensure healthy product age according to the quality guidelines. Alert to the Operations Manager in case of risks in inventory management and provide plan to reduce risks.
- Manage inter-DC stock movements to ensure service and within budget.
- Provide to the Logistics Manager a rolling forecast for 3PLs on inbound, storage and outbound volumes for cost estimation.
Portfolio Management
- Collaborate with Marketing, Finance & Sales to conduct fact-based portfolio management and to implement SKU portfolio review regularly. Establish long term SKU portfolio management based on complexity and cost matrix.
- In charge of New Product Launch process according to Global Guidelines.
- Manage product transitions of new and phasing out SKUs within budget.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years working experience in demand planning role, ideally in an FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) environment.
- Strong influencing skills.
- Proven ability to run analysis from multiple sources, providing reliable and valuable outputs.
- Relationship builder with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- An entrepreneurial “can do” attitude facilitated by continuous improvement and application of appropriate “best practices”.
- Accuracy, innovation, and results driven focus with an attention to detail paramount.
- Good working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP packages.
