From the morning essentials that get us started to the office space and employees that inspire and support our productivity, the Workplace Operations team is there to make it happen. As the Workplace Manager, you will lead your region's efforts to ensure Compass’ offices are a great place to come to work and all of our customers have the hands-on support they need. You’re a strategic, proactive, and detail-oriented leader who knows how to get buy-in from different departments and execute plans effectively--all while being a supportive manager to your team.
At Compass You Will:
Manage, empower, and provide hands-on support for your team-- making sure every team member has the necessary resources to succeed; define onboarding plans, ongoing training, and performance expectations for your teammates.
Oversee the management of one to four submarkets (5-15 offices) and two to nine direct reports.
Ensure that every office in your portfolio is poised to provide our customers with the best possible in-office experience.
Partner with the Agent Experience and Sales Management teams to ensure all customer needs/expectations are met on a daily basis.
Partner with various members of the National Workplace Operations and Expansion teams in the execution of special projects and initiatives, including office openings, facilities upgrades, process documentation, and vendor evaluations.
Act as the Office Administrator and cover all associated tasks in one designated office, as required.
Be the point of escalation for questions related to agent requests, facilities issues and vendor management.
Lead the execution of administrative programs; assesses and adapts as needed to ensure quality of execution.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, planned and preventive facilities maintenance best practices, and team staffing plans.
Oversee vendor relationships, service contracts, and regional budget.
Play a key role in the decision making process for space planning, renovations, resourcing, budgets, and special initiatives.
Manage regional stakeholder needs via proactive partnership with Regional Workplace Managers, Director or Operations, Regional Presidents, and Sales Managers.
Review and evaluate existing methods, systems, practices and procedures; develop and recommend changes.
What We Look For:
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
A minimum of 3 years of workplace operations experience with an emphasis on facilities, hospitality, corporate services, or equivalent office management experience
A minimum of 2 years of people management experience; experience coaching and mentoring others
Customer service/support experience
Real Estate experience a +
Previous experience managing multiple locations, preferably across different cities
Experience growing a portfolio of office from the ground up or prior experience in a high growth organization
Experience managing budgets with strong financial, contract management and purchasing skills
Solid knowledge of property management, food service, leases, construction terms and practices, and industry trends
Strong project and stakeholder management skills with a high level of initiative and judgment
Effective analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
Highly adaptable and comfortable with change
Friendly, positive, and excellent communicator who is able to work effectively across the organization
Ability to travel to different regional offices up to 50% of the time
