We are looking for a Workplace Design and Programming Specialist to join EWE in setting the standard for Boeing's future approach to people, digital, and workplace experiences. Candidates should have a strong workplace design background with further understanding in project management, workplace strategy, and employee experience.This individual must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. The selected candidate should be innovative, creative, and resilient in setting a standard, charting a path, and executing to plan.Position Responsibilities:

  • Development, continuous improvement and enduring maintenance of Boeing's Workplace Environment/Experience Standards
  • Provide best practices, advisement, and consultation to facilities planners, site project leaders, and business partner teams on workplace design concepts and principles
  • Be an enterprise resource as a subject matter expert in the areas of workplace design and interior products, acoustics, lighting, materials & finishes, and furniture
  • Utilize project management best practices
  • Lead cross-functional teams
  • Liaison between Boeing and Architecture & Engineering (A&E) firm; collaborate and provide requirements
  • Consultation on workplace design changes
  • Understanding of systems furniture and ergonomics
  • Basic understanding of building code
  • Strong programming and analytical skills
  • Combine creativity and technical knowledge with advanced communication skills to produce environments that provide an exceptional employee experience
  • Development of enterprise and/or regional space metrics / targets
  • Expertise in latest space planning concepts for activity based working, neighborhood and hybrid environments

This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity and does not require applicants to live in Mesa, AZ. Candidates may require 10% travel on an as needed basis.Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience office planning and design
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Interior Design, or related field

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) Certification
  • Experience designing multiple space types including retail, hospitality, production / manufacturing, lab, fabrication, secured space
  • Experience with non-US projects, global trends
  • Experience in Occupancy Planning, Space Planning, Design , and Change Management
  • Experience with AutoCAD, IWMS, Indesign, SketchUp
  • Experience with audio visual and collaboration technology
  • Knowledge of the workplace's effects on: employee engagement, attraction, retention, and productivity
