Please review the following job description:

Coordinate and support the process for providing reasonable accommodations for Truist teammates via the interactive process in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA) and other applicable state and local laws.

***Position can be located anywhere in the U.S. remotely, but must be willing to work on the Eastern Time Zone****

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Perform case management and coordinate the accommodation process for end-to-end case management, including working with HR, the teammate, vendors, work location, and other stakeholders.
2. Perform individual analysis and timely recommendations of accommodation requests on a case by case basis, including engaging in the interactive process.
3. Provide support and guidance while performing activities related to short term and long term accommodations for teammates at work or returning to work for medical-based accommodations.
4. Develop, communicate and obtain teammate approval of transitional work assignment or long term accommodation within position based on restrictions as well as available tasks.
5. Act as a subject matter expert and resource to supervisors, colleagues, and healthcare providers regarding accommodation/work restriction issues and processes. Act as liaison between HR, teammates and other departments/systems as appropriate.
6. Educate teammates and HR on complicated aspects of return to work, accommodations, and complex case processes.
7. Provide advice and counsel to teammates, managers and HR Partners; assess risk, resolve issues, and escalate potential denial or undue burden cases as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent education and Human Resources related training.
2. Knowledge of federal and state disability laws, specifically ADAAA and FMLA and the interplay between the FMLA, worker's compensation and the ADAAA.
3. Knowledge and understanding of disability management, return-to-work strategies, ADAAA and related state and local statutes.
4. Ability to analyze information and convert related activities into a comprehensive work plan.
5. Ability to communicate and make recommendations to management.
6. Ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
7. Ability to multi-task and drive multiple projects.
8. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
9. Demonstrated ability to deal with confidential information.
10. Demonstrated problem-solving, time management and priority setting skills.
11. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products, especially Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Minimum 3 years of experience in a HR management role within disability, leave and accommodation management
2. CPDM highly preferred
3. PHR or SHRM-CP Certification

Able to work all hours scheduled, including overtime as directed by manager/supervisor and required by business need.
Travel
Minimal and up to 10%
