Responsibilities

Primary Responsibility:

Act as the site expert on warehouse management systems (WMS), responsible for day-to-day system maintenance and troubleshooting. First point of contact for assistance, questions, issues, etc. at the operations level. Work with Operations teams, IT, and Engineering groups to ensure optimal configurations for WMS conversions, enhancements, and new business requirements. Work with other departments to support initiatives that may interface with WMS systems.

Essential Functions:
• Develops, maintains and ensures clear and effective documentation of WMS processes and procedures. This includes general SOP's as well as customer specific processes at the site level.• Troubleshoots and resolves support requests related to the WMS or any related interfaces or ancillary systems• Determines work flow for WMS• Supervises on-site WMS associates and supports department • Serve as a liaison between IT and the site team on WMS issues• Play an active role in maintaining training, re-training, new hire training at the operations level• Support WMS improvements and represent the business in future development work• Support WMS site Super User team by training new Super Users and assisting with site maintenance and troubleshooting• Support WMS site Super User team by participating in Super User meetings• Assist other departments by participating in meetings and/or testing related to projects impacting the site, as requested• Assist in training/support at other site WMS conversions/start ups• Other duties as requested

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree preferred• 3+ years of related experience • Proficient computer skills, experience in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint • Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (Red Prairie/JDA WMS a plus)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Excellent time management, communications, decision-making, organization, human relations, presentation, negotiation, and mediation skills• Ability to communicate professionally, both written and verbal with individuals at all levels of the organization and with external contacts• Ability to communicate effectively to direct and motivate the team and others• Progressive, flexible and team-oriented approach desired• Possess a proactive approach with strong customer service orientation• Demonstrates uncompromising level of integrity and code of ethics and maintain a high degree of confidentiality• Must be able to travel at an estimated 10-20% of the time

Physical Requirements:
• Requires the ability to sit for long periods of time, with frequent interruptions• Requires several hours per day of sitting, getting up and down from chairs, and reaching, or bending• Requires manual dexterity with normal hand and finger movements for typical office work • Talking, hearing, and seeing are important elements of completing assigned tasks• May require travel by automobile and airplane up for business• May require a visit facility operations in temperatures at or below freezing• May carry loads related to travel and occasionally lifts, carries, positions, or moves objects weighing up to 20 pounds• Requires the use of various electronic tools • Requires the ability to relate to others beyond giving and receiving instructions: must partner with colleagues without exhibiting behavioral extremes• Requires the performance of work activities including reasoning, negotiating, instructing, persuading, or speaking with others; and respond appropriately to constructive feedback from executive management
